Editing a old Bot...

Hello,
I have a version from old ConquerAI (dont ask me to send it, i wont), and i whanted to learn how to edit it for personal use.
I have some base learning from c++ but not a vast 1.

This bot, is a source code or a compiled binary?
If its compiled binary, good luck updating it.
If its source code, look into new offsets from the latest client.

But if its compiled binary and the offsets are saved in a file, then just update the offset from that file.

its an exe file, i have been trying to understand what to change and how to change with ida pro. but i im starting to think im using the wrong program.

I havent heard a successful updating of Offsets to a compiled binary by using debugging tools like IDA Pro. Im not even sure if that's possible.

If you have time tinkering the file with IDA Pro, it is recommended that you stop that and instead focus on making a bot for yourself. That's more easier approach imo.

i just needed some1 to teach whats programs to use so i could explore, search for guides and start learning.

Nobody is going to teach you how to reverse engineer an executable. Requesting such things would quality as spam requests for hacks.

You know one of these kids is gonna download ILSpy and post the "source code" next week. Or well, maybe sooner since they just learned about ILSpy.
