Very basic 9D survey.

We "possibly" will open a server, but it is important for us to know your opinion.
So please help us completing this small survey.

Do you guys have real server files of gamescampus 9d or play9d?

Are you guys viets? ( no racism.....)

Are you guys hosting private servers of other games, or were you the guys who opened play9D? o.O

If you have the old source files (more than likely) you cannot get a lot of 'new content and features' you are limited on what you have. Look at Zeron: Bogdy and Adek are easily the strongest developers for this games private community and they are still struggling to produce updated content.

If you have the korean/vn files then you're probably fucked as you'll end up in the same situation as Martin (Elysium) who got royally fucked over by the people who owned the files.

The community is segmented and scattered around the already vast growing list of servers that open/close every month. There is always promise of a 'new server' but only a few people have ever actually delivered one. I tried I failed. It isn't that easy to keep a server going and maintain it enough for people to stick around. Quantitative research (your survey) is such a massive waste of time.

1) make a thread and ask people to give their opinions.
2) quantitative is opinion based and heavily bias so you cannot get a fair assumption or any real valuable data. This survey can also be trolled to no limits so the data you collate might be completely useless.

You joined this month, you have from your profile absolutely no relevancy or name for yourself in this community and unless you have something special to offer, you won't get anywhere.

Do you have the knowledge of the server files, the knowledge to reverse engineer/rebuild/build tools from scratch (don't try to use the 'semi source' as the structures and packets are heavily outdated. What server files do you have access to, can you offer a secure server with stable and ddos protected hosting, what knowledge do you have of 9dragons, what kind of server are you hoping to offer the community?

It's a lot of questions because I'm going to just roll of a bunch of thread links to people offering to release a server and it didn't happen.

You only need to look at the already growing list of 'server concept' threads to see there is a big pattern - the pattern is the servers never come to fruition. There are also people selling source code, trying to sell outdated server files, infected clients and tools and that is another element that just fractures the tiny community even further.

TL;DR stop wasting the communities time and focus your time and energy into something that isn't going to fuck the already small amount of people playing the vast amount of servers.

Calling me and Bogdy "the strongest developers for this games private community" is just exaggerating.

"Name for community" is nothing here. How many people knew Bogdy before Project Alpha? I am quite the different, though - maybe I'm not that well known when it comes to PvP in 9D, I worked together within few projects already - I created simple tutorials, worked over content, helped community with delivering patches, etc. - people still recognize me just as a troll or w/e, because most of my job (publicly posted) was done 3 years ago.

I'm not saying the things are going to be easy. Delivering content based on something else than changing resources or rates are going to be hard, unless you get/develop some tools. I'm doing that stuff for myself, not profit - as far as I know, the same applies for Bogdy.

If you are going to do it, after all, feel free to tell us your plans. I'm interested in original developemnt, not just copy-paste content. Unfortunately, community doesn't like new things. Also, not everyone will like your job. Community miss mostly Acclaim and Play9D times - not the content, though.

Without a doubt you are a strong developer with passion and knowledge of the game. Not many people have both of those attributes here.

I'd rather see the original content but that would only attract a tiny tiny amount of players.

abouth comunity miss acclaim and play 9d .. thats not 100 % true that bcs when those servers opened.. the game was fresh new mmorpg. but now all ppl know whats endgame content, really we dont want those horrible rates and useles items from acclaim times. the bigger problem in 9 D is u really dont have more to do appart to grind or dungeons ( pvp no count bcs pvp its not comepled, just some free pk´s and not more) 9 D need some professions hefei guild pvp arena opened and fully funtional and ofc make the grind less boring ( like in other games u get " tittles " wich are called epithes here or some reward for kill X numbers of mobs, completed dungeons in diferent lvls some times etc ) those are few just perfect examples of 9 D need to be completed.

Either way best of luck with any en devours for a server concept. I hope you succeed or give the community who you cater for the best experience you can.
