Changing Co1 files to Co2??

i was playing co2.0 and it was great!
i really like the sounds and the new graphic and even that counter :P

and i went back to 1.0 and realized that it looks crappy.

so i tried taking some 2.0 file and replacing the 1.0 files and...

first try:i basicly took all the files and put it in 1.0 and got a c3_core_dll error
second: i slowly replaced the files like first sound then data. when i logged in the sound were still the same and the menu,hotkey and stuff on the bottem were all screwed up. so i just kept going and replaced the ini and it just crashed....

so can anyone help me make the 1.0 look like 2.0 as close as possible??
the sounds and effect would be great(thats all i care about lol)

i would try to do this again but i have school so i dont have alot of time

*sigh* i'll just experiment on my free time :)

too much work... not really worth it... when someone want to do it okay.. but i dont think someone will do it..

i acually tried changing the looks
the icon were no problems and buttons but im stuck at changing the toolbar thing where the hotkeys,buttons, and health/mana thing is and it came out like ....
the co2 version of it but it has this big black space above it

co2 only had 2 img...maindialog1 and 2
co1 has 4
co2 basicly put 1 and 2 on same dds and also same with 3 and 4

wow nice...but i honestly like co1 gfx better :D co2 is different..so that makes it fun again tho :? and the sound thing is quite simple..if ur reffering to things like sound wen u lvl up etc...mine ses "o.m.g.ur 1 lvl higher" (im so proud of that dude) :D

I know why there is a black thing there....i dont know how to edit dds file lol
i took a look at the editing dds file and i got confused
i think it tells you what to get not how to do it step by step....if it does then please tell me so i can take another look.

i just realized that co1 already has some of the files.
sounds are all the same but most of them are unused
that name effect when you enter a map like "Wild Plain" comes up when you enter wild plain are in co1 but unused!

why would they make us download useless stuff ??
also there this wierd chineese song in sound folder and its called zhangfu<------(useless file)
