CO Skins

Hey, I was just thinking seeing as how you can get your account locked for using CO1 servers on CO2 client, couldnt we just use the CO2 GUI but put in on CO1 just for fun, or other skins?

If you goto you CO directory and look in data folder (Im pretty sure) there are pictures of all the buttons and stuff that you could change. So yeah I think it would be cool to make some skins for CO. Even have a contest for best design :D

i tried copying over the skin from co2 to co1 but it screwed up... it would take a bunch of editing if you were to do it... but making your own skins i guess would be pretty easy :P

ive tried a long time ago.. its not really worth the effort

CO1 server does a Conquer.exe check just as CO2 does. IT checks the DLLs and other important files. CHanging the GUI, I dont think it will make any difference to detection of usage of the wrong Client.

its been done, just by changing the files... a friend of mines did it with the co2 skins on a co1 client, but am on vacation rite now, so i'll ask him and let u guys know, but i think he just copied the files
