[HELLO] Emulator team form up.

Dear ESEmu Project Community,

We decided to write an emulator for a quite famous game that we think we can improve both game-play design
and technical-design.
We're not going form a big group, we plan to create a team of 3 or 4 elements of medium-high knowledge level and we'll
threat all the members of our team (and future team, if the project succeeds and needs more people) as friends or same
level.
We will split the work equally, especially in the field you have an excellent preparation, after a deep organized
analysis of the work.

The team is formed by:
* An experienced Reverse Engineer, hacks creator and fair C++ developer (and other stuff).
* An experienced Reverse Engineer, experienced emulator developer and university student of ICT, with proper formation for analysis and critical environments; System Administrator and IT Security analyst with huge C/C++ knowledge (as well as other stuff).

We are searching for:
An experienced Reverse Engineer and developer, familiar with the server-side development and knowledge in packet analysis (we need more packet analysis than backend development); able to react to the environment and a trust worthy element (we will talk with you like you are having a job interview :) ); time to dedicate and trust-building.
We are very funny guys anyway, don't be scared!

All the rest of the details can be discussed, please add us on Skype:

Thanks everyone,

We're based on latest EU version, written entirely in C++.

Do you plan to sell/open the sources in the future ?

Because I understand why a team who put so much time in writing an emulator would like to keep the sources closed. But I think there is a real need for private serveurs (for Roleplay, for custom games players want, etc...).

We're not planning for an Open Source for now, maybe we'll sell it or not.

Yea, I had to give up on ESEmu because of missing team members, now I have some new cooperators.

Ogre fest is still in alpha. Too much bugs.

Emulator for what?
To test enchanting and other things on own PC with a "fake server"? ^^

Or to play on the server you will never have on official because of greedy editor ? :)

Ok, thank you for your answer. I hope you will share in a way or an other (selling for exemple could be a good compromise).
Just one thing: don't make this project too "public". I was part (as a fan) of a previous project, which died because of Daum geeting aware of it, and threatened us to make a legal action.
So don't speak to much about it for now. :)

Our previous mistake with ESEmu was making it "too public" too early, for now we don't have the required number of developers but if we will ever have we're keeping it silent until the project is finished and we'll see what to do after that.

There're tons of reasons someone could have a working emulator:
  • Science
  • LAN Parties
  • Online private servers
  • Testing the game's stuff before release/after early release
  • IT Security Analysis (I'm definitely gonna do that)
  • IT Analysis for hacks
  • Client analysis (still inside hacking/security purpose)
  • Profit

I think you can wait for end of 2017, maybe 2018 :p
An emu is not something you can really finish...

If a modular "technology" is used, it's easier and only needs maintenance instead of full re-compilation.

Ok. :)
