Conquer PServers~

Any thoughts on ways to go about getting a CO private server?

I know that all the sites are just subdomained on the same server. And that they are using an old forum software. Perhaps there is an exploit to gain access to the mySQL db and get in through there? I think I can do this myself with some time...


Or someone with more coding knowledge then me could RE it. Be faster probably...

co is keeping a close eye on this site... might not seem like it but they are... hehe so if there was there isnt now or at least wont be soon...........

What would be the point of a private co server? the game is free penlty of servers allmost no lag?
Besides you cant balance the game furture with out new skills.
Better droprates? for what reason its nice as it is?

Someone's already working on a CO server by reversing the protocol. I don't know if that person will be ever done with it but I wish him good luck :P

Some people just want to try. Don't tell me that you wouldn't like to try it if you could get a lvl130 reborn with full +5 double socket set in no time :)

Plus private servers are more underground and cool :P everyone can hack :P

Yes it can be done, and has been done, I wont give names but it has been done. ;)

well, if theres a emulator, the person who created it should release it, or send it to epvp, I'm sure this would be a good betatest

but then, epvp needs another root server =D

the real gm shouldnt be pissed at us making a private server

1) it say that we like it so much we are wasting our time making our own server
2) it can decrese the number of hacker on their own server

Well it wont decrease the amount of hackers, I dont think everyone would quit there own servers just to join a private one, but I know what your getting at.

We would need to be able to transfer characters to and from the server though, otherwise it would get boring rather quick.
