Elf lag.

Anything I can use to fix it? Heard there's some mod that helps but no idea what they were talking about. My character freezes during every battle and I die. I've disabled Nagle. I live on the East Coast USA.

Lower your MTU

If you are on XP, download [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] and change the MTU to 386.

If on vista/w7, open cmd.exe/command prompt and paste this line in.

netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface "Wireless Network Connection" mtu=386 store=persistent

For wired connection

It'll help you ingame but beware: It'll make you shit slow while browsing, etc.

Thanks. That definitely helped my overall latency. But I'm still getting those times when my character just locks up completely and won't move in any way. Is there any other fixes?

How would you disable it for browsing? It might just be my overall connection, but I have the same death problem. The Red Bubble Of Death (TRBOD)

You can prevent freezing due to the elf range glitch if you move a bit after every shot.
