[DEV] Developer Commands

just wondering if anyone knows if there's a tutorial on how to use developer command.

if there's not.. i'd like to write one up.. i kinda figured out they are actually more useful than GM lol

There isn't any pub tut about the full power of [DEKARON]/[DEV] chars.

if anyone would like to know more about DEV Commands post up and i'll tell u everything i know :)

k first of all for full access to dev commands.

type /dev openconsole

now it doesn't auto show ur console :) ppl get confused about this like i did lol until i was messing about with hotkeys
i thought there might have been a copy and paste INTO the game but i came across dev console in the process.


ok back on track...
to get ur console
CTRL+SHIFT

will drop down a console window that will take up half ur screen (roughly).

the most commands u'd probably use are:
dropitem <itemid> <slot #> <MAGIC|NOBLE|DIVINE>
dropitem_custom <itemid> <slot #> <OPTION 1> <OPTION 2> <OPTION 3> <OPTION 4> *
dropitemcount <itemid> <slot #> <amount #>
dropmoney <amount #>
callmonster <monid>
callmonsters <monid> <amount #>


* OPTIONS
these are basically ur Magic Noble and Divine Noble options for example (325:255 = MAX HP)
the 325 is the option for HP and the 255 is the max value.

there is other commands that dev can use like ... testing out effects like testskill command and test_effect commands

just mess around with the console and u'll pick up as quick as i have.

HAVE FUN with ur new unknown powers.

and yes.. this is the reason why i think devs are more useful than GM's they can make ANY kind of item in game :)

this is the most useful thing i have seen in months on here, would love to know what else can be done, ill post here as i find stuff

Holy shit, bro, how did you ever figure THAT out..?
This was like a top-top-top secret thing, that my friend figured out after talking to a real DEV from dk-kr, but I thought this was implemented from action 4... Are you sure this can work on action 2 server files?

Well the console is not limited to [DEV]/[DEKARON] chars, it can also be used by normal players, much like with having gm mode on a normal char. The console lets you:

Show/Hide different windows.
Edit Camera angles, distances, positions, directions.
Editing or turning on/off different graphical things.
Character building convenience (levelup, dropitem, advlevelup, etc.)
Viewing packet information.
What windows or certain button/input parameter something is.

i cant open the console with my GM?

i can open the console with my GM, just cant use any of the commands he listed

would be awesome if we could get an extended list of commands and options tho . . .

P.s about this i knew 1month ago .Just i will not put anything on elitepvper becasuse of some noobs around here.

Its not all about it u also need to edit one file and set visible to true.

But u know what i am gona keep this as secret also i figured out how to open dev console used for devolopment.

Whit it u can write scripts edit maps etc...

If u guys didnt knew game = game engine if u know how to edit it....

p.s it was just testing if u know about commands and those are not all commands for dev console there is around 10 of it.

Though the amount of commands, changes from the different stages you decide to use the console. The console can be used at any point in the game, not just ingame. But because of this not all commands that work ingame would work at client loading screen for instance.


Btw zombe you mentioned in your post before this that your friend found out about this from talking with a dev at dek kr. Can i ask how he got in contact with a dev from there? Did he just meet them ingame or did he talk with them on forums or something else.

Btw, it was a DEV from acclaim, not gamehi... Sorry, wrong company :/

Since when do Acclaim have Devs? GMs doesn't count, they're helpless.
