Old CO

I love playing conquer online, but at 5065 it messed up, atleast i think so. My idea is bringing back the conquer1.0 :D who's with me??

i guess, there is still a 1.0 server with unique source, cuz all those 5065 and 5165, are too standard, i like servers with unique sources. like qonquer2.0 beginning, is there still a server like that??

Is there any server at conquer 1.0 left??, and if there is no 1.0 left, is there any private server from 5017 or before?? beside the lotf source based servers,... if u give them to me, i promise i will make a list.

played it for 2 hours, went to sleep and it was off today :P

There is a publicly released 1.0 source based on CoFuture. It needs some work done but it's actually rather good for a public source. I got alot done on mine when I was messing around with it.

If its a good source, why is nobody using it?? the 5065/5095/5165, are all messed up.. Especialy 5095 and 5165 with ninja :(

Those sources aren't messed up.
They just need some fixes.
Possibly total recoding.

1: Because everyone is too lazy to switch sources
2: everyone is so obsessed with ninjas/tali (when I had my 5095 server I got HUNDREDS of players simply off having working ninja unlike the billion lotf/bin servers floating around at the time)
3: It's GOOD, that doesn't mean it's FINISHED.

That being said if you wanna mess around with it, I can offer a little bit of advice (no, I will not code stuff for you but I can point you in the right direction)

Yah I still think CoEmu is great... although I'm well aware it has alot of problems :P

No one is willing to use it though (other then the horribly messed up versions like animeco) simply because it's missing so many features such as skills, trade, guild, view items, marriage etcetcetc

Still better then the old lotf ones... uughh those made me cry when I started converting mine to a 5017 source... they were just so... unorganized and hideous.


Anyways yah, the 1.0 source IS far from perfect but it's really not bad. There are no huge flaws in it that I've noticed, it's just some minor bugs, calculation problems and half finished features that can easily be finished (eg: Reborn is implemented but so laughably broken.. simply because the item downgrade code is kinda fucked up and it doesn't update client properly + some other stuff.)

... I don't understand all these private servers. what's the fun of being able to get amazing items and super high level with hardly any work? I want a private server that has all the feature the stupid 'Classic CO' should have had. absolutely none of these new features that ruined this game. CPs make normal cash useless, get rid of them, no shopping mall, no lab, no lvl 129 boots or that gayness making archers useless, no talismans, horses, ninjas, fans, none of that buttsecks aids. Someone develop a good private server with all the actual legit features of Conquer 1.0 when the game was actually a good game and not a piece of $h|t and i'll pay to play.. this game used to actually be fun. But now it's absolute garbage.

There ARE servers that are leveling servers. The problem is most of them allow people to overpower through donations.

I know my server was a mix of pvp and leveling when I had it (you would start with decent level/items but you could hunt/level to get better ones) and you would be sickened by all the people coming on going "OMG WHY CANT I MAKE FULL +12!??" and when you would say "you hunt and play lotto and do gm events"" they all freak out like it's the most foreign concept ever.


Anyways there ARE leveling servers, they just aren't very good in general.

Also: expecting full features is alot to ask from a server. Most people aren't good enough to make a full featured server so they opt instead to make a pvp server which only really requires pvp events and skills working.

Also: Maybe it's just me but wasn't Lab introduced while conquer was still 1.0? Cause I KNOW Lab was way way way before dis city was added and dis came out when 2.0 did didn't it?

Anyways, there is a 1.0 source as I said. If you are serious about a 1.0 leveling server, I suggest you take a look at. it's far from perfect but it's fairly complete and has no major issues. It's LEGIT 1.0. uses 1.0 client and as such only has features supported by 1.0 client (although in the source there is some base code support for second reborn and stuff, if you don't want 2nd reb simply don't implement it for players.

Lol only reason I don't use the CoEmuV2 source was because I couldn't get my ip to fit right. Kept getting login freeze lol.

I'm completely with you! I've almost got the public source of 4267 CoFuture working but there's a bug where people have a hard time logging on. Send me a PM if you can help because i don't usually check posts. Thanks!
