Which Server are you waiting for or play on?

Hi everyone,

So this is my first post as a member but I have been a lurker of epvp for a long, long time. I recently decided to come back to SRO but there are so many private servers that I'm kind of lost on which one to pick.

Features are somewhat important, but honestly I'm looking for an active server where there is a sense of community. I started on AETA but it seems to be dying off a little (as I realize most pservers do), I see people selling their accounts left and right, plus at night population drops to 300-400.

I have also tried phSro but I seen 0 job activity and 0 pvp, although I realize most people are farming but it is still worrisome.

So long story short, I am trying to figure out where most of you play or plan to play so I can join a great community.

TLDR: What server do you play on or what server are you waiting for? Also, if anyone wants to take me into a guild that would be cool as well, I have been playing sro since 70 cap.

If you didn't like AETA or phSro why did u add them in the poll? I mean if you see the errors clearly yourself would you like to go back to such a server?

At the moment I would say that ZSZC is the most active server.

You make a good point. I basically included the servers that I saw had the most views/discussion in the Advertising Section. I pointed out a few flaws, however that doesn't mean I'm not willing to play on those if I found a group of people to play with. I mean, they will all have flaws, nothing is perfect! I am still currently playing both, but just started phSro today.

My only worry is that I am going to build up my character and then everyone leaves for a new server, so I'm trying to get a feel for if/where everyone will go, so I can continue building or wait and start fresh on a new server.

If you want a stable server that's have been out there now for a long time I would consider you to check out Pioneer for a long term server.

Electus-reborn, well I never played on Elamidas or Electus simply cause I don't like the team behind both servers. Electus at the moment for me feels like a money grab server, it's there for a few months and then it closes for what now reason there may be for that.

Same happen with Elamidas, people hype so much about it, but it's not really the server, it's just the owner/name behind the server that is hyped. Also many "large" guilds join them and people which want battle will join to concur these guilds.

This is just my personal opinion.

I will probably get hated for it.

I agree with you on some points and there is no reason to get hate since it's your honest opinion :) If people don't like it they can ignore it, simple as that..

I am not playing on the server due to being too busy with real life but i know that some friends are having great time in phsro. And even though I am not playing there(I only attend fws with a friend's char) I had the same concerns as you have. Like, is the server really worth playing? Why is not anyone pvping? Why there is no activity in the game? And so on. Then I spent a couple of hours in the game and talked to many people, mostly about how is the server going, since when they are playing on phsro and so on.

And the things i learnt about the server,
-Its 50 days old, however, in the last two weeks the online number has almost doubled which pretty much explains why people are still busy with grinding. Given the time is needed to be 90 FF (At least 3 weeks) Its not actually surprising that there is not much activity in terms of pvp and jobbing. But probably by the end of February, Dw south will start to be populated.
-The majority of the community is not from the private-sro scene. Most of them are old isro players in longing of the old days. They saw the server as the server of phbot.(Phbot is the bot currently widely used in isro, its not that common in the psro scene yet.) So, what i mean is that the server's player base does not consist of "epvp server jumpers" They wont simply get bored and move on to another server and cause the server to die. Actually considerable number of the phsro players are having their first experience in a private server. Thats why I anticipate that they will stick with the server longer than the epvp server jumpers.
-Silk prices are so cheap. 100 silk costs you 10$ but the prices in the item-mall are just so funny. Premium=30 silks, Devil=15, Dress set=20. You can get all the silk items you need by only donating 10$. (Of course the silk is cheap in terms of gold too, easy to obtain in game.)
-The team behind the server is not a random amateur team. They quite proved how experienced they are in time.
-During the time the server has been online I have not heard any unexpected downtimes nor lags from my friends. The server seems pretty much stable.

I dont want to get into comparison too much with the other servers you have listed. The only thing i can say is that phsro has the most potential to be a long-term server.

In conclusion, phsro it is. :)

Haha. Yea I like to refer to people's sensitivity as the "pussification of the world". Thanks again for your input. I had not read about Pioneer yet, so I will check that server out.

I can see what you mean about Electus, the fact that it keeps closing and opening does sound some alarms.

I played Salvation because I craved the good old days on Venice, and now I'm looking for something to fill my craving for the good old days on Salvation. Seems to be an endless cycle haha.

It's interesting that you say most players come from isro, you're right that's a good thing. I think that's part of the reason that Salvation lasted so long, it was people's first private server, people weren't trying to jump to the newest server right away. I do like the silk prices and a long-term server is what I'm looking for.

Maybe I'll have to take a risk and keep building my character there!
