How to find calls

I know how to find things using CE that have a number value, like skills and hp and shield, etc. But how do you find things that don't have number values, like animations or agro and vac values?

I think you would have to look in the data files for them.
Since that is how you do animation changes.

but how can I take the information in the data files and find that with CE?

Well if it's a text based file (.txt, .csv, etc.) not image file, then you just need to search what type of data it is (decimal, float, or text string).

So I edited an animation value to .123456789 and then went to that monster and searched for .123456789 on all kinds of searches, and it never turned up any results. Any ideas why?

wouldnt your decimal be turned into hexdecimal if you are searching for it in CE
i thought if you are searching for text/decimals in an .exe is searches for them in the hex

i never tried that, thanks.

that doesn't work, because the values are decimals, which cannot be converted into hex...

Does that animation value take in decimal or float values? Cause if it takes only decimal values then that'll be why you didn't find it. Also it depends on how many decimal places it's supposed to use.

Yes it's all in hex, but CE gives you the option to search decimal, float, text or hex.
