There was a post on reddit yesterday regarding this matter. Unfortunately it seems, that Riot forgot to measure the MMR gained during Preseason with the current placements, which basically means that any effort you've put into playing League during the Preseason is gone now.

I actually just read in the official boards of League that the current placement matches only influences the dynamic queue MMR. Solo/duo MMR will be rated seperately.

Yes RIOT f**ed many players...PLAT went to Gold or even Silver just because of the MMR... but that's RIOT always surprise us.
