This has 2 significant reasons:
  • The applications contains an update service by using the Visual Studio ClickOnce publishing method

-> The application uses a non trusted certificate

The Result is that Microsoft SmartScreen and Anti Virus Software block my application.
Finally my application is untrusted.

It doesn't matter if you run it with elevated privileges or simly deactivate SmartScreen and start it normally. Applications don't have to have admin rights to update the program.

yes. You need the admin privileges at least to avoid Microsoft Smart Screen! If you do not have admin privileges you CAN'T install it, cause Smart Screen can't be ignored.
