Hi guys, I've come up with a few possible ideas of a great FB hack(s). I am almost sure most of them are possible if given little time for preparation/thought. Ok, here goes.
1) Delete the Jump Animation.
This one has supposedly already been done, but I search almost anywhere but I have never found a website that teaches you where the Jump Animation is located. I have heard of someone deleting their entire ani folder and when they log onto CO, the background is all black and when they jump, they still see the jumping animation. This probably proves that the jump animation is NOT in the ani folder. Downside: You do not see where your enemy is coming from, all you see is them popping up on your screen.
2) Make Dust appear before the Jump Animation is finished.
You know when you're jumping on dirt, grass, etc. there's dust appearing after you land? My idea is to make that dust animation appear BEFORE you land so all the FBer has to do is aim for the dust and the person jumping will be hit. Downside: If you jump in some areas, there no dust appears (Such as Twin City.) Possible resolution to downside: Change a file to make dust appear everywhere, dirt or city. You may also just change the map so your CO thinks that everywhere is dirt so whereever people land, dust appears.
3) Delete the 'weapon-swinging' animation.
Not only will it help in making your FB lag even less (giving you a great edge), all your melee hits will not have your character swing his weapon, resulting in an immediate hit.
I hope these three ideas will be made into concrete hacks/edits. Please follow up on more suggestions, actual experiments, and feedback. Keeping this thread alive will help also, as people tend to look at threads that have the most recent posts. This way, we have a greater chance that someone with the knowledge/talent will try to perform these ideas. Thanks.
