[PROGRESS] Webmall Suggestions

11/15/2015 18:15 treica#1
Hello all,

I have built this basic Webmall as an application as i promised, this is just it's basics there needs alot to do, you can see in this preview.

NOTE : The images are just for preview of the items they are random captured.

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

The application is built with
  • AngularJs and HTML the front end
  • PHP Api for the backend
  • Database driver PDO

Before continuing with the application i would want to know what every each wants and gather a selection of feedback to complete this.

So first...

1. What you thing about it's actual stage?
2. What features you would like this to include?

This is not a release yet, is a project in progress!

How about a rollover effect for each item, or certain items. For example if you had a weapon or armor (or even lapis) on the webapp, it would show it's stats (sort of how ShStudio displays)

Hey treica!
Can you add for this tiered spender?

As Truth1010 said, a detailed content display on rollover, may be with qTip or something.

And the posibilitiy to add Packs of items (like a 'starter pack' etc) with diferent items inside, and they're all listed when you rollover the pack.

Also since you're using Angular, what are the requirements to host that site? Does it need a MEAN enviroment or just the angular script?

This is one great idea, you can add a trigger that shows what the is the most item bought often by players, and so other players may think of getting them.
Like a Recently Purchased Hot Items Section.

No is not required as i haven't used any compiler for the Restful API, will only require a web server with php 5.4 or higher and has the sqlsrv driver available which i will provide the Apache24 already configured as required.

There do exist a category side where you can see is All Items but i was lazy to filter them items.

I cannot include a tiered spender in this as is already sold to many people by somebody else and i don't want to ruin there business unless he will make it publicly available for the community.

Thanks for the feedbacks, i will wait for more!

Is up to you to do what you will, just "wondering" is not enough said there just do it or no do it :D i just don't wanna ruin his work as i have bought some stuff from him as i didn't had time for nothing but now i have some spare time to do my thing here. And including that many working hours to do all that stuff would be pushed to make some commissions but as a free release i do my best to give you guys a good service coz what makes me happy is not the money but to see it worth while :)

There is no other buisness to ruin, you are free to build and release webmall or tiered spenders and i can give small suggestions if you need. So far are not my scripts I don't care.

I had to delay the project for a while as i had some requests to create a fully integrated administration panel for Shaiya (which will not be free on release, but, Hey! we're not here for that) i really busy in the real life at the moment, in a stage of deploying an application for the company i work. but never the less the webmall project is forwarding aswell.

For now we have some features done to the web mall
- Categories
- Shopping Chart
- search in real time (items will filter as you start typing)
- Revoked PHP from the backend and is now full javascript (node js, angularjs, express).

To do
- small admin panel (for adding / edit / delete items)
- Awaiting more suggestions
- optimize the code
- testing it works with 2005 - 2008 - 2012 MSSQL

Basically it will not require any webserver as is a webserver it'self which will not conflict with your active website! Node js is used as the backbone of the console which will help me to use a full RESTful API is a one page server. Is written in C++ and outputs plain javascript, but nothing to concern you as it runs in the server so cannot be read any data.

Angular is used for the frontend and this does all the real time changes and all the complicated filters and display, still plain javascript and renders HTML. This will not do only read-only stuff from the database, node js will handle all the requests made by angularjs.

Not having a lot of time to explain everything but at a later time i will make a tutorial to introduce this new technology in the Shaiya community. Screenshoots of the webmall will come soon.
