Hi, i am having a problem installing a server Shaiya on my vps.I'm using clean omega files. I've looked everywhere but nothing has been helpful.
Here is my log:

PS_DBAGENT__system

PS_GAME__system

PS_GAMELOG__system

PS_LOGIN__system

PS_SESSION__system

PS_USERLOG__system

If I try to connect with sql server management studio through credentials (Shaiya and Shaiya123) from vps connects but if i try to connect from my pc doesn't connect.
That's all, thanks guys :)

Error connecting to Database. Double check you have the Shaiya - Shaiya123 user in SQL (security)
Make sure all the encrypted passwords are set in your .ini files as well. There is a tool inside PSM_Server called ps_passwordEnc. Use that with password Shaiya123 for each place you see something like this in your .ini files.
Code:
GameData=127.0.0.1, PS_GameData, shaiya, D0B874C7F08BED32E3B312C1C861AA9F80D2EDE505EB072D98A4EDABC37CE0D734D737B8F8713AD56B6761B24A73545091BF52388E980BDD5AB6B9F3C9D49063547874D6E26C50C663D4DB47FAC20FA671675AA1467999666DB0E61E154E0A7A1E321446A30CEF003A4B55E999345D440E73537A9B3B6EA8EA04182D763E9A24
I usually create a new enc.password for each separate line like that. But I'm not sure if it's needed.
Also, make sure you have your linked servers installed and set properly.

Thanks but everything already done, i installed same files on a virtual machine for a test local server and there were no problems but since i'm trying on vps i'm having this problem. I think it is a configuration problem of sql server i already configured the firewall but still nothing

As log say
Code:
2015-11-04 17:06:54 DB gamedata connect error
Your server files cant connect to your sql database.
Problem is in your sql config.
First you should test connect with Sql Manager "connect Object explorer" with SQL Auth and Server Name =127.0.0.1 Pass Shaiya123

Have you allowed outside access to the VPS so that you can actually connect with the database from your home PC?
It's been a long time since i used a VPS, but if i remember right, you have to allow some settings depending on your host to allow connections.

Truth1010, i've allowed outside access (firewall settings and sql server->properties->connections->allow remote connections)

Code:
select @@servername
You should have 127.0.0.1

if not

Code:
sp_dropserver 'your sql name'
GO
sp_addserver '127.0.0.1', local
GO
also check your sql config

What exactly are you trying to connect to SSMS with?
the host IP, or 127.0.0.1 (local) ?
The server name needs to be whatever it is on your host PC. If i remember correctly the IP of the VPS should be enough, then use SQL auth for user/pass.

If all else fails, contact your VPS host company. They may be blocking it on their end for some reason. I had the same problem with a webserver being blocked from the host until i messaged them asking about it and they got it fixed right away.

Not entirely sure what OP is actually asking. I thought it was one thing at first, then another. Now i'm starting to think that he has the DB held on his VPS, but the PSM_Client/Server held on his home PC.

So he uses the ServerPatchConfig from his home PC to start the server, and all database entries go to his VPS.

If that is what you are trying to do, Piccoloale. Then in your config .ini files, you need to write like this.
Code:
[SERVER]
ServerName=Game
ServerPort=
MaxConnection=3000
[CONNECTION]
Session=127.0.0.1
UserLog=127.0.0.1
DBAgent=127.0.0.1

Truth1010, sorry if i was not clear and for my bad english. I'm not trying to start nothing from my pc, i am working completely on a server, all files are there just i was trying to connect to remote database on my vps with vps remote ip
11/05/2015 08:36 Truth1010#12
Oh i see now. In that case...

Check TCP port 1433. That needs to be open for remote access to SQL. TCP port 1434 may also be needed, that's for the SQL Browser.

And when connecting remotely, if you are set to have named instances, other than default. Then you must connect like
Code:
12.34.56.78\SQLINSTANCENAME
The logs you originally posted show that the server is failing to connect to the DB though, that's why the confusion. It looks like your asking 1 question, but showing problems linked to another :)
