I want to know how to edit welcome message that apears to anyone who logs in Like >> Welcome to .....-co
in client 5095
in client 5095
I got the Source from the internet and i made changes in everything , but i dont know how to edit the welcome message or where to find itQuote:
It has absolutely nothing to do with the client.
It has to do with the server, in which case, what source / abomination are you using?
Is a comment like this really necessary? I mean seriously, you want a community yet you thrown around snide little remarks like this that are really deterring.Quote:

There's a big difference between asking a question that you've put at least the most basic level of effort into solving and asking to be spoon fed.Quote:
This forum is wonderful. You all complain that it has gone down the crapper yet when people show an interest in any sort of development that is not on your own level you are condescending jerks.
I searched over and over for this problem , and i dont understand him he told me what source do you use i am not an expert like so i downloaded it form the internet , you will be helpful if you tell me what to do because i am begginer . shall i upload the source here or what ?Quote:

His post didn't tell us anything useful (what source he's using, what he's tried already, etc) and the level of the post clearly indicates he hasn't even bothered to search for the text he's trying to replace.
When you're dealing with dozens and dozens of these types of requests (usually by the same members over and over and over again) its' very hard to not become bitter with the whole mess.
Also keep in mind that Spirited DID ask for further information at which point he still refused to provide anything even remotely relevant.
Here's some way the OP could have avoided the insults if that was something he was worried about
#1: Fix the issue (or demonstrate he's willing to try) by using basic common sense. "Hmm, I want to change "Hello welcome to xxxx" to say "Hello welcome to yyyy" maybe if I search for that text I could try changing it?
#2: Post enough information for people to be able to help him. Things like what source he's using, what he's tried, what exactly he's trying to change.
An example of what SHOULD be done if you want help would be to post in the thread concerning the tool or release you're having an issue with explaining what it is you want to do, what you've tried and where you've run into issues.
There's a right and wrong way of asking for help. Spamming up a forum begging people to fix your issues for you is most definitely the wrong way. It's just common sense rather than any need to understand programming or computer engineering.
EG: Posting a reply inside the cops v 7 thread explaining you're having issues setting up the database with a screenshot or copypaste of the error you're getting. That'd be something no one on this forum would really have any complaints about. Making a new thread in an unrelated section saying "I have a source, it wont work, fix it for me!!!?!?!" is obviously going to get you some rude remarks.
Do the following for me. Hold shift and right click on the folder that contains your "source" and select "open command window here". In that command window that pops up, type the following command:Quote:

Spirited, I am not sure if you have graduated yet or not but you sure are full of yourself, and boy does it show. Just because you are an engineer/engineering student doesn't make you all knowing, doesn't mean you always know what you are talking about, and doesn't always mean you are right. Reading some of your comments on this forum and others its clear that you have a hard to time taking constructive criticism, and taking criticism has got to be one of the most important attributes of an engineer.

You just don't go and attack Spirited like that. He's the best developer/engineer over here

dir /s /b /o:gn > output.txt
Upload the "output.txt" file and we'll be able to identify what you're running and let you know.

Complaints section is right here, buddy: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
I appreciate your sincerity, but I'm not the best developer here. These type of hate comments really don't bother me in the slightest, and so I ask that you don't let them bother you either. Insecure kids trying to lower competition will always be around (and at the bottom biting at peoples' heals) - so nothing to worry yourself over.Quote:

It's highly unlikely anyone on this forum will help you with TQ binaries. We have an entire release section full of sources for you to use and receive advice on.Quote:
so can you just tell me what is the name of the file that is should edit it to change the message or it need something else xD , i am sorry for asking to many questions
I cannot just tell you, as I do not use TQ binaries and never have. As our moderator and I have explained, TQ binaries are illegal and not permitted here, so your audience of editors who can help you is very limited.Quote:
