Problem with classic clients

I have just downloaded a 5018 and it doesn't see to be compatible with my windows or laptop. I'm using windows 8 but it doesn't work it say that there are compatibility issues and then it says conquer online has stopped working. Btw same issue happened with 5017 client too. I downloaded the client from spirited's guide.
Any help?

I've only seen that happen to a few people and it seems to be related to those specific computers (my guess is graphics card driver).

Integrated video cards and old clients do not get along very well at all.

I get the same prob, i just run it anyways and it works. Not sure if we're speaking about the same thing - though mine occurs post autopatch and before the client pops up.

Try this option it may help.

Right click on your conquer icon(the one you use to play) > Properties > Compatibility and then under Compatibility Mode be sure to mark " Run this program in combatibility mode for: Windows 7

This is how it should look like " [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] " that should fix your problem


P.S if your client laggs(drops your fps from 40 to 10 or lower while jumping, open your conquer folder then look for data folder open it and find Cursor folder, and replace your conquer cursor with original windows cursors
