Gameserver Crash without Error

10/05/2015 07:24 Banmaschine#1
Hi Community,

i have a problem and i don't find the problem and how to fix it....

my gameserver crashes every day to a random time!

First i thougt it was because of to many regions but now i run for test 3 Gameserver's on 3 Machines!

and before there was Crash on Gameserver 1 and now Gameserver 3 crash and the only city's how are running on Gameserver 3 is:

- Downhang
- Hotan
- Roc Mountain

so i think the bug is in Downhang or Hotan! And any Player know this bug and come to my server and let it exploit....

i hope someone can help me

And on SMC the Gameserver get "red" and not close completly

Screen of the Crash: (same happen with orginal Gameserver.exe )

I would suggest using SUPERMAN and enabling unknown packets, let the server run for a while and it'll put the packet into a text before the GS crashes, so you can check it later. Then you can block it or request SUPERMAN's owner to block it.

Could be the ingame exploits, trade exploit pet most-likely.. I don't see any other way for this to happen. :D I could sell you the fix for a small amount, or just figure it out yourself.

Hint: You know that the trade pet "SPAWNS", right ? :)

If the issue is with your database, I use a tool called ExpressProfiler standalone.

It lets you see all queries being executed on your database, check if any are throwing errors.

I doubt that a malfunctioning query is causing the crash. Most likely it's an exploit.. Does the guy uses any packet filter?

It's not an exploit, if there was an exploit on SUPERMAN all my customers would suffer, nobody would target a 60 players server only with that kind of "exploit".

I'd agree if I saw him saying somewhere that he is using SUPERMAN?
That's why I asked if he is using any packet filter :)

I have a server for testing and my server crashes to bsod once every 24-36hrs. I left it run without players in it and still crashes. First I thought the pc alone can't handle it because it's a i7 with 32gb of ram so I bought myself an HP Proliant dl360 which is a real server to handle more process. Same thing... Left it over night and next day come to find out bsod. Just leaving the pc without running any programs; it's been 12days and no bsod, but when I run the server; I get the bsod. So I kind of stop running the server... Might quit as well.
