how do you apply an animation to a skill?

I followed this: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

But, I actually didnt get, where it puts the animation file (.ani) for the skill.

I made an animation with 3ds max for male character, now I have the correct .ani file, but, where do I place it to use it as animation for a specific skill?

I searched over the skill defines, etc, but theres only .dds files (which if textures).

I'm confused. It's even possible or only sfk could be added to skills? but then it doesn't explain why the skills does have animations.

Search for MTI_ in mdlDyna and propSkill

but there isn't anything defined about .ani files
So I assume the source/client has a different way to identify animation files?

EDIT

nevermind. solved

You got everything you need in your Files i guess.
Aeonsoft Cola is the main tool to use. Figure out what Skinvertexdata is and how to edit the output ase file.

If you're talking about .o3d and not .sfx you can simply drag and drop your FBX file into the Model Editor, it will automatically display the .ani format first if your fbx file has frames. (animated is)

Then save the .ani file to what you need e.g. you have a stand animation you call it xxx_xxxxxxxx_stand.ani
After that you save the .o3d so click on "save as" again but choose .o3d instead of .ani at the bottom of the final format.

This is the way to proceed if you want to have .o3d as the unformat.

Do you have a complete document? Because it prompts for the lack of DLL files
