[Tutorial] Hacking Etiquette

I see so many stupid hackers out there doing stupid things so I am going to make a list of tips for you "no common sense" type people.

Number 1 on the list and most important imo:

WALLHACK
1. Clean up behind yourself. Do not leave a mess. You antagonize non hackers and bring unnecessary attention to yourself and all of us.

2. Put bosses back if you need to leave and haven't killed them. Number one hacker complaint on my server is Oread missing and that causes the non hackers to band together and riot against us on the forums.

3. Pay attention to how you effect things. Wallhack even without vacing still effects mobs in range of you and they will stray off of the map out of reach of normal players. CLEAN UP!

CHAT
1. If someone spots you, you need to learn more because there are plenty of ways to never be seen by a non hacker no matter what u are doing. However, until you do... If someone shouts HACKER! DO NOT RESPOND...
That is the STUPIDEST thing you can do. Not only do you antagonize them but you just announced that you are hacking. Most of the time if you are speed hacking people shouldn't catch your name so just ignore it and be more careful. If they do catch you red handed STILL do not respond. Any response will upset a non hacker. It does not matter what you say. If you say nothing they will very likely dismiss it and move on.

2. if you are off the map talking to another hacker USE WHISPERS/PARTY CHAT Normal chat travels a long distance and people will catch you.

VACing
1. If you vac mobs kill them. If you DC go back in and CLEAN UP. Nobody, including yourself wants to run in to a mass of mobs and DC over and over because you screwed up. Log back in to the same server and deal with it. You hacked it, have some pride.

2. TIP: Don't go over 6 or 7 speed for self or 12-14 for mobs. You will just lose them and DC A LOT more leaving lots of mobs stuck on walls when you leave.

General hacking
The power is yours to use or abuse. Use it, don't abuse it, and resist the urge to teleport away or skill hack someone just because you are mad. Take the bullet for the sake of your characters identity and take some responsibility.

PKing and KSing
1. If you do this you are asking to get reported. Don't impose on other hackers because they can report you just as easily as anyone. I have a lot of patience for stupid hackers in game and I have never reported someone because I keep in mind that I am getting away with something too. However, if you PK someone just because you want what they have expect to be SSed and reported

2. If you walk up to someones Oread mass spawn be friendly... If they want you to go away, just go the hell away and find something else to do or another server. If they PK you because you start KSing them it's your own fault.

3. Think about what you would want if you were the other person, because you will be. If I had an Oread mass spawn going in a corner and I had him almost dead for loot I'd want you to piss off and come back later. You would want the same.

4. Most of us hack out of complete boredom and some hack (asns lol) for money. Other than that we are all just trying to entertain ourselves so lets keep it fun.

These aren't rules, they are guidelines for successful hacking that doesn't damage the hacking society and makes what we do easier for us all. There is always a reckless way and proper way to do anything whether "illegal" or not.

Even a murderer has guidelines they work within to do what they do successfully. If you are sloppy and don't clean up your mess... you are going to draw attention and make things harder for yourself.

So they kinda try to just f*ck it up.

this guys is damn right. i always saw mobs on the hill inside the wall.. just cos of some fker dunno how to hack properly. ruining our hacking system. forcing them to patching. pls nub hackers be more consideration for other players. we r the 1 stealing their mobs already so dun be a fker hiding their mobs..

I had to thank this post too, it's true 100% through.

Mostly when I hack I'm cleaning up others mess. Just yesterday or so when I was in Crespo, I teled to Crespo and was like "where is the majority of the mobs?". Well I made a small VAC with WallHack and you can imagine what I found. Half of the Crespo mobs were VACed to the southwest corner of the map.

People need to think what they're doing. If I crash/DC when I'm VACing, I'll log back and kill the crowd before I decide to do something else. That's how it should be :).

Hacking is not about ruining the game for others, it's about gaining an unfair advantage :).

InstantDeath, if you were on Oread server on Siz then yes. I got the hackers name because he decided to kill me. So yea. My question is. If someone like that guy who killed me does kill other people and sucks at mobbing, should i report him for hacking? I have plenty of screenies of him hacking.

I agree with the post another thing that bugs me are the hackers that run after u and kos and pk u i mean just get ur own mob its not hard with vac lol. Its getting to the point where all of python is fed up and ppl put the boss in l1 and pk legit players while vacking and then they complain about being baned. kinda sad lol

Even outside of parka noob mage was trying to pk me with skill hacks, and the same people with one post come and spam on the forum that hacks got patched and not working.

ill bet the noobies wont listen to this but great for trying. to many ppl wanting to be the better hacker when there only using a ce (or trainer) with bs hacks (nothing against them i use them also) that make mods run stupid.

+1 for me on this post tho.

i hate the fellow hackers who ks me -.- its lazy an also theyre usually the people who are sloppy an leave their mobs everywhere every time a legit globals f*ckin hacker i know they are never talking about me.

I'm not really someone to say if you should report or not, that's purely a choice of yours. And btw, I'm not playing on Siz, only on Rondow.

I think this is complete bullshit! if your going to hack a game who cares what the hell you do. i hack, and every time someone trys to steal my mobs i kill them. thats etiquette fo ya. if your going to hack a game its because your tired of playing it there way, play it with no rules its a lot funner. most people hacking (including myself) hack to get the fastest exp possible not to take time and chat with people and make friends. Everyone is my enemy, i go out to HH and just kill people for the hell of it. its funny to see people that are 150+ get pwnd by a 50's mage. i do friend some hackers. but you come up to me trying to kill me not going to make the friends list. Everyone plays there way. and i dont agree with this Etiquette. do what you want, your hacking who cares! plus lots of non hackers go out to python to get voucers, thats why i leave them behind ihelp the people. it take forever to get voucers non hacking, i got over million of them on all accounts. there worth candys yummy.. anyways this is what was on my mind

and this is y they update xingcode bc of ppl like u if u r going to skill hack pk legit players whats the point that requires no skill at all just mashing skill button... makes the game fantastic when ppl pk u with skill hacks :facepalm:
