[Bug]Very Odd

Just curious has anyone happend to of had this bug before.

Kill monster then repeats cq_action over and over again.

Personaly I think I might of screwed my sql script up and edited the wrong thing but it's extremely wierd.

The action will go from starting when you kill the monster to the end action which has id_next = 0 id_nextfail = 0 but yet it will tehn start the monsters action again and continue for over 160 lines of cq_action (limit for log to display)

wow funhacker i dont feel so bad having bugs posted here now LOL!

anyway that is very strange ... look over all of your information and see if you maybe looped an action or something .... thats the only real reason that this should happen

It's ok I don't expect anyone to know the answer.

Both these suggestions are not it.

I am normal paladin PM character named "Test[PM]" with lvl1 Gear on me. I used both myself and my pet to attack the monster and as for looped actions....... no I checked that and cq_action on all msg servers I have had before limit at about 32 I think. This is doing hundreds.

Bump

Sorry just thought you might want to know I worked it out, was a pretty stupid thing for me to do but due to recent accident I am cracked up on drugs and always in pain xD

Here is a screenshot of the problem let's see if anyone can pin point the problem..

I will give you a hint the biggest thing that threw me off when seeing this was that my cq_action limit is limited to 32 lines but this goes for 160+. There is also a reason to why this happens.

OK as far I spotted - If I would get in problem like this, basing on this you showed on SS:

Check your action id: 100100000
as you see when it begin - it has choice - or stop (0) when failed or if tru run AGAIN 100100000 then certain actions from param (if I well understood)...

now to all of this I would start looking inside this place to be sure it can be like this way.

I believe you tried to achieve result like:

If true - run certain id action from list in param.... like 100100001.... if criteria other then 100100009 etc etc...

but you see case is this query in my opinion is all time repeating .... since 100100000 action is all time request checking it even if it was already decided.

Try to change this id_next in action 100100000 - from 100100000 to something else.. (like even 0 :))

Anyway thats my opinion here ;)

Regards

Yea I thought it was a pretty stupid mistake lols, I noticed it moment I tried again after a bit of sleep so I guess the prize goes to you :)

The thing that threw me off big time with this one was the constant repeat of hundreds of action repeats. So I guess even if it does not appear the types either 101 102 or 120 reset this counter allowing you to go pass the cq_action limit. Could be useful to know :)

You know... this mistake make a cool idea in my mind :)

normally game allowing to run about 33 actions in row (like for example crystal skill - pet checkings ... it was a limitation...)

but by this way - mistake - I believe it can be used in some more advanced actions :) :)

Will work on this soon in my next work :P

Why not just follow this guide, and modify the limit of action codes cq_action will run at one time.

heh this one never saw ... hmmm this can be useful someday as well ;)

It's very useful if you have more then the 33 ( I think it is) of one type of pet. It saves you from having to split the skills up into different parts.

Only problem is if I remember right that guide talks about a referenced string within the servers before palladins. That string was not in the palladin server files so I never bothered with the mannequin server.

I haven't tested it completely yet. But if you go into your msg server, You can do a search for the text

"Error: too many game action, last action: %u."

If you go Five lines above that you should see the same example he pfj gave. It seems to have just moved.

On my msg server its at

Code:
004B34EE
I would assume it would work the same.
