[HELP] Updater Runtime error

07/24/2015 09:14 nemox18#1
Hello,
A few days ago I changed my hosting provider. Since then, the updater can not unzip the files.

I've tried using the server as housing and hosting (different), but get the same error. Can it be any problem of provider settings?

Note: The file is compressed in ZIP (.patch)

Sorry my Inglés is bad

Are you running the patches from a web server? or from the local windows machine?

If you do run from a web server (free service) then there's your problem.
1. Check if the files has permission 777 as requires full permissions to be able to download
- On linux machine you can do /chmod -R 777 /path/to/patch/folder/ or the file manager
- Windows Using FTP Client (ex:FileZilla is free)

2. If all the above are in order change provider

Else check if the .sdata files are encrypted (once) before creating the patch.

Don't use ftp servers because they might corrupt your patch file, use an other protocole, I myslef use the one.con online one, so you'll send your patch via your internet browser insted of ftp client.

If you still use ftp (I use FlashFXP), you can also change the patch extension to .zip, upload it and then change it back to .patch
That way the data type is correctly interpreted by some hostings.
