This is a exploit protection, what does zombies has to do with anything? Exploits is not a DDoS attack, its just sending a single packet from a single machine. The filter itself may have a redirect function but its on the same PC. (Meaning, you do not really proxy the traffic, you just re-route it to another port using LOCALHOST, so the Delay is 0MS all the time.)
