What Windows are you using?

Right click on the file, go to Properties, then look at Compatibility. If you're using a late Windows, you should tell it to Run this program in compatibility mode for: select something like Windows Vista. Don't know if that will work...

Don't know if this will work...

P.S. Also try running as administrator.

for me it worked only when I put compatibility Win7 and DISABLE hi resolution thing: 3rd checkmark (i have win 8.1 x64 in french so translating is not accurate) (talking about nfsw.exe here)

I'm using Windows 7, it don't let me change anything there.

could you supply a picture of your properties, that would help a bit, windows 7 is a little different than 8, im familiar with both, i just need to see what options you selected.
