Elo decay in placements

Hello guys,

I wondering if anyone can help me out with a question to Elo-Decay:
As we all know you will lose LP for not playing a ranked game for 28 days (this counts for platinum, diamond, master, challanger).
Does anybody know what is gonna happen during your placements?
For example you are playing 9 out of 10 games and stop playing ranked for 2 month?

Well, logically, it wouldnt matter, since during your placements, you dont have an elo, you just have mmr, and mmr doesnt decay, so i'd assume that it doesnt matter how long you wait with ur placements :)

nothing will happen.
played 4 games on a smurf and like 3 months later another 6 placements
just by logic, thers's no way that something would happen

There is no elo decay before u're placed.

While in your provisionals, you are not currently ranked and therefore have nothing to decay. Also, if you place gold or under, riot released a recent update where you will no longer decay. It only applies to plat+
