Seeing +1s...

So ppl... The project about seeing item quality was done... It's cool, it's working, etc, etc...

Now it's time for the real deal... We need to see +1s... :)

So, ppl who know how to hex edit, etc... Let's have a look in all files we can to try to figure out something... The ones who can handle packets also could think a bit about it...

I was thinking also about codll... Maybe by hooking CO process we can get a little information and change the names realtime?

I'm a little rusty in Delphi... I don't use it for like 10 years already... Maybe some1 can help me a bit with MadTools so I can also help? Coder, any docs u can advise me?

There is no such thing as "don't work" for me... There has to be a way... Either packet proxying, hooking, hex editing the exe, whatever...

The problem is that ppl need to think... No being worried about leechers and copyrights... 2, 3 thinking is better than one...

The only chance of doing this is by reading the items in memory or intercepting incoming data, decrypting it and doing appropriate changes to make it noticable as +1 etc item.
And this would only work if the server sends those informations at all, but to be honest I don't think it does since the client does not need this information to identify the items before you pick them up.

there is no information in the packet you receive for item on the ground that describes its + amount
you only know once you have picked it up

make some program that throw away all items except those that are useful.. by pressing 1 button, give a system msg 'u got +1 items' possible ritex? then wif a macro..it would be perfect.. something like bjx

I'm pretty sure this could be done.. Now what I was thinking.. was take the packet suite when released and make an add-on or something that does the same thing that it does, but make it to where all the program does, is pick up all the items that drop around you, search through the memory real quick, then drop all the crap.

Think that might work?
06/02/2005 12:53 Peach#10
yeah of coz it will
06/02/2005 18:04 evilsoul#11
Well... I'm sure there has to be a way to identify +1... The items exists so the program has to have a way to identify them... If the information comes from the server, packet proxing could identify it but it would be difficult to make it warn u about it...

If, in some way, it's client side... There has to be a way to identify it too... I'll work on it as soon I have some time... I've been too busy with my work lately...

You mean before picking up?
When you pick an item up, you will notice a delay. That's the time that you need to send a packet to the server (telling it: I'm picking up item at position x,y), and the time it needs to come back (giving you the extended information about the item), otherwise the delay equal to your ping would be useless if you would know all informations about it even before picking up.

well i guess ill just tell you that i know a way to show what items are dropped by monsters on the ground fixed, unique ref, elite, +1 or super.... all we need to do is edit the itemtype.dat, i have already tested this and it work O.o
