Recruiting ppl for packet decrypting

As most ppl maybe known ultima and me working out all the packets the client send to the server and vice versa, but that is too much work for only 2, so we search for ppl that help us todo the work.

The requirements arent that high:

-logical and analytic thinking
-knowledge of hex
-working in a team

post your application in this thread, within the next time we send a pm to the ppl we decided to let in, and maybe we will send you a individual test to proof your knowledge too.

we dont need and want ppl without a plan about what todo, it will be only more work for us instead of helping, so if you dont feel to meet the requirement save our time and dont applicate.

Warning: Everyone that do in this thread more than 1 post, have no chance to get in, we dont want a flamethread here like the thread for the co moderator appliaction was!

Edit: A application isnt something like i will, i want etc...a application is telling something about your experience, time etc...we dont accept 1 sentence application, the thing how the applaction is written and what information it gives also increase/decrease your chance to get in.

Hmmm....Can you explain clearer what is needed? I know how to hex and stuff, but then, i do not know how advanced you want me to be... I can learn quite fast, but i will might slow you guys down...

I'm willing to join the packet decryption team, as this was my next project anyway :)

I am reverse engineering since 1998, learning asm with maybe 12 or 13 years, going on with c and c++, doing a little basic based programming languages, and now coding in c#.

I have reverse engineered (cracked), keygenned and unpacked well over 500 programs, including protection shemes using home made cryptographic and the publicly available algorithms. (Of course for educational purposes only :P)
At last in the reversing scene I concentrated on researching CD and dongle based protection shemes and on anti-debugging protections. 2 years ago I quit cracking, and moved on to exploiting (as in buffer overflows etc.).

Last year I wrote a cheating suite (radar, aimbot, wallhack etc) for the unreal engine overriding all of the available anti-cheating programs that time, that's where I began game hacking. It got never released though because at the same time I helped a friend writing his own cheating suite, he invested way more time in it and it got better. Bored from 3D action games I started conquer online :P.

I read, write, speak 3 languages fluently (including German and the most important, guess what, English!).
Now don't think I'm taking everything too serious just because this post is in proper English with almost no grammatical mistakes, this is just how I talk in tutorials or on forums (technical papers where many people will read them.), I talk different in live chats.

I'd like to participate, I have experience in HEX editing not only for Conquer FIles, but alsao editing other games. I speak 2 languages, ROmanian and English and I can also write tutorials if needed. Im currently learning C++ and Java. I began hacking games (as a newb) when I was around 8 years old and that experience has been improoved since that,l im 15 right now. Only packets I worked with were fake hacks for games that sends you password/username. I just check those packets and go to their ftp and shut it down if I can or just change their password.

i have pretty much decoded all the packets except the bot check float calculation but i havnt really documented it well so if there's anything you cant work out just ask and ill see if i can help.

Most of the things I write are in C/C++. I'm a grad student in Computer Engineering - focus is mostly software side, I did a lot of programming contests and stuff so I can code pretty fast. I can understand ASM relatively well.

First proxy program I wrote was for POQ about two years ago. Packets weren't encrypted so it was pretty easy to change them and do some crazy things.

I've been fiddling with CO stuff for past two years.. mostly modifying local files (EXE, INI, DAT, etc.). Some pixel bots, but nothing to do with packets yet. :)

i can now decrypt encrypt packets, and send them to the server without dcing, i sucsessfully made the xp cicrle go ful show my xo skill options, i know asm, delphi, and hex.

I have knowledge of: Delphi/Pascal, C/C++/C#, Java, embedded C and basic knowledge of ASM

Some projects I have done:

- digital switchboard (simulate AND, NAND, OR, NOR etc.. made in Delphi)
- Travel agency program (application wich uses .NET remoting, made in Visual C#)
- Cruise Control (school project to write embedded C program for a real Cruise Control)
- Elevator control (this was a nice school project, we had to write a program to control an real elevator in embedded C)

Well I like to participate to extend my knowledge as I'm always want to learn new things and improve my programming skills.

I speak two languages Dutch and English and live in Holland

I'll help! i am good with Java&JavaScript, PHP, HTML, C#, VB, HEX. I have a long history of Cryptology background. My proudest accomplishment is the graffiti i did on my neighbor's computer via poorly encrypted 802.11b wireless internet connection :)

I've worked with packets before, mainly encrypting and decrypting them. Caused an experimental and accidental DNS on my school's connection.

i love working in a team, and i firmly believe that there is no "I" in "TEAM".

I like to participate to. I quoted Henkie coz his specs are almost same as mine.

I'm a good RL friend of him and we are on the same school, only he is 2 years ahead on me :).

I have knowledge of: QBasic (I was 14 then :P), Pascal, Delphi, Ansi C, C++, Java and Understands basic ASM. I also know how to work with OllyDbg, and Henkie to.

I can read/write Dutch and English. And I can read German.

My personal projects are:
- Elevator control. This was a nice school project, we had to write a program to control an real elevator in embedded C <- Same as Henkie
- Spider control. Also an school project, to controll an spider robot in embedded C) btw Henkie did this to.
- IRC Client. Implemented following RFC1459.
- Macro for CO. Not a script but a real program, and it's still in development. It sends constandly a right mouse click and CTRL.
- Hauppauge remote controll. Little tool that controlls the TV-Card via network (switches channel, changes volume, etc).

I would like to participate because I want to have more expierience on programming, hacking and networking.

after long discussion we made our decision who will be in and who not, all are in get a pm within the next hours.

we feel sorry for all ppl that arent in, but it wasnt easy to decide.
