[Ressource Edit] Permanent Buffs

I haven't seen anyone else figuring this out so i'm gonna show you a little trick.

Setting the skill time in the AddSkillProp will make buffs permanent, they only get removed on death or if a Billposter uses the hero-skill.

The reason why this works is this:

buff.cpp

Code:
BOOL CBuffSkill::IsRemovable( CMover* pMover )
{
.
.
.
return pAddSkillProp && pAddSkillProp->dwSkillTime > 0 && pSkillProp
}
If you use this with skills that have additional duration by stats like the assist buffs the countdown timer still will be displayed so it is useful to remove RT_TIME from skills with this feature.

If you guys are interested i also got a Passive and Toggle System (Toggle= Use Skill->Buff added, Use Skill again -> Buff remove, usefull for stuff like Rage on Knights)

Toggle would be so much cool.

Reason for this? If you get perm buffs you can give it to the base stats of the character.

The reason is simple instead of creating skills that increases your base stats.
you could think of more ways to make new skills that are passive. You can make it even so that an certain skill only works when you are wearing an weapon or shield etc.

Whats the difference between never rebuffing your skill or rebuffing it every 5,10 or 20 minutes? Many "buffs" are lasting at least 5 minutes. Except the assist buffs, Flyff has like 3 buffs that actually work in a way a duration makes sense: Dark Illusion, Fast Walker, Berserk

This 3 buffs have a duration lower than the cooldown, everything else is just a passive painted green.

It's server sided, so unless the admin set it that way there is no danger.

but if you just change the value in the buff.cpp then it changes the time of Dark Illu too, right ?

I suggest you to get a basic understanding of how the flyff resource works and then you should get what this release is all about.

What is it what you don't get about [Resource Edit], this has nothing to do with the source, i only attached it to show why it works.

If you are lazy then don't expect me to help you with obvious things, especially when you decide to get cocky.

Just don't comment if your are too lazy ("cool?") to start your visual studio. The efford you have put into this post was higher than to open your visual studio.

Gutes Ding Mognakor, nützlich wie all deine arbeit, jetzt könnte man auch über ein Talent-system o.ä. überlegen, gute sache:)

I'm interested, if your willing to share this that is.
