heyho, i'm posting this to inform you about some things that recently happened to me on the int server:
as you probably know i'm playing kal (mostly Hanin) for quite a few years, hence i have (or let's better say i've had) a good couple of accounts on int server.
several weeks ago out of the blue the password got changed on nearly all my accounts (i'm a lazy ass and stupidly i had used the very same password multiple times - actually 39 accounts were pw changed).
after some days of investigation i've managed to find out the culprit: my passwords were changed by 5andr0, who tried to stay underground and hide behind a guy called Dimme (aka. Rammeloschie) - he was doing the donkeywork for him.
since 5andr0 had db-access, Dimme had been selling loads of geons and also a lot of db-created g70/g75 items for him during the last year (that's also the main reason the geonprice is dropping so fast). even many ppl in the ranking bought created stuff from him and i guess it's no coincidence that core (Dimmes guild) got the most players with full g70/g80 weapons on the whole server. :P
i contacted Dimme, told him that i'd prefer to solve this incident without any drama and claimed my accounts back - he said "his friend" (5andr0) changed my passwords as revenge, cause i've disconnected/expelled him ingame (which definitley was a lie!).
i asked about some further details about the disconnect and he wasn't even able to tell me when it happened or which account/char disconnected him (which kinda shows that it was just an excuse for taking my accounts).
Dimme agreed with me, told me that it's not fair to steal my accounts and that he'll talk with his partner and get my (untouched) accounts back for me. when i asked him about my accounts on the following days/weeks, he always put me off, telling me that he didn't reach his "partner" and/or he'll let me know tomorrow.
some days ago i finally found out that he fooled me as well and that the stuff on my accounts is already gone. he took about 35kkk in geons and a lot of stuff which probably was also worth more than 20kkk - so even with a pretty low geonprice, the stuff he took was worth about 10k€.
by the way - it wasn't the first time that 5andr0 and Dimme changed some passwords - in december many macro chars (d6, gsm, emok) got pw-changed and cleaned overnight - some of them even were friends of Dimme (his closest friends were spared from the hacking) but he just played the innocent and pretended not to know anything about it.
a lot of people quit afterwards and when there were some free rooms again @d6 they started their own makro there, so i guess that was one of their motives back then.
the good thing is that after the incident in december people were complaining, inix got a lot of cs messages and changed their password encryption. their hashes are salted now and not reversible anymore (the reason he knew my old password anyway is that i didn't change it for a long time). so in case that you didn't change your password since december i'd advise you to do so.
due to some other changes inixsoft made during the last few months i'm not totally sure how far 5andr0's access currently goes, but your chances to be "safe" are definitley better if you've changed your password recently.
