Hello!

I would be glad about that very much if you would try to create a bot. :) If you try to make a bot you create a pixel detecter solution?

I am not so sure how well a bot here works.
The game has several things inside to prevent botting.

e.g.
Killing mobs gives not so much xp , you need to do quests.
You get Trierd afer some time and get less xp , you have to visit a Innkeeper regulary.

There are a lot random effects that makes it harder to plan your actions.

i ve tried a simple auto it script but it will not work :(

There are a lot of kill quests though.
So it would be nice to have some setup where you can be semi-AFK to do those at least.
Plus to perhaps do mundain tasks automatically. To say nothing of farming (for gear, etc).
The item shop isn't open in beta, but it looks like it won't be so dependent like some games.

The protection is described here:

As a matter of fact it's the first game to use this new system.

For CE users, there is apparently some type of system where they can lock down, or just hash/verify some memory between writes.
Then it's just a matter of finding it and disabling it, and, or, make some CE plug-in that interfaces with it.

It doesn't use a system driver like the old StarForce, and IMHO a lot of what they claim is hype.
I made a good dump (for reversing, not running) of the client pretty easy with just
normal unpacking tools.
The client is just huge however..

@Sirmabus:
A interesting Link.

I think a Bot that base on DLL injection will have a hard time with this kind of protection.
A Bot that works with the Screen Information (Pixel-Bot) should work well.

There are several daily Quests ( e.g. run to x locations and do something)
that gives you xp and reputation. That could be a good start for a farming bot.

Not hard to do. At the very least just chain inject the DLL from the launcher to the final client.
And to attach a DLL. I think it watches for added threads to the client, it's probably easy to circumvent.

3rd CB on Dec 29th.

The client is a mess of one layer of C++ abstraction on top of another, but in essence it's still simple by looking at it's packets.

Here's a sample packet:
Code:
-- Area chat (saying "yes")
SP: S: 6
[00]: 80 D5 03 79 65 73 Õ.yes
Broken down:
80, D5 = Forms some sort of opcode. 0x80 appears to be a class/type, and 0xD5 a sub one.
03 = size of text
79 65 73 = "yes" text

so gogo, upload a working bot for this game and I'd be very thankful :)

I am testing the US and EU Beta from Start.
And on US Beta a Player has a Bot or Makro for killing a Mob and looting it at the first Day.

The Bot attack ever the same Mob and loot it on respawn.
In Allods are Spots where Mobs spawn instant after u killed it.
So u can lvling with Mob killing ( farming ) so fast.
With Quests u get much more Exp, but u need much more time for it too.
If u kill ever and ever the same Mob, u can lvling so fast.

So there are bots and makros in Allods, and i bet there are many Options with CE.
I will test it on Release. :D

That is not my normal way to build a bot :D

I just read data from the screen and send mouse and key data ( via own kernel driver )
I haven't tried it yet, but I think this way will work without problems.

But a pixel-pot has several problems. One is that I don't know how to get an exact location.
My old MMORPG had a "locate" command to print the exact location to the chat log. But I haven't found something similar in Allods yet.

A way could be the get the location from the Map, but I think it is not so accurate.

Maybe somebody finds a nice (easy) way that also works.
( Get the location from the IP stream , find the exact location inside of the memory , ... )

You can get the exact world location via lua, just make an addon. The russians seem to have nailed addons pretty well already. However im still wondering where the tool they are using to get so much info about the games lua functions. All the paks for the game just contain .bin files.... ugh

AwayFromGame is currently developing an Allods bot that will likely be sold. :)
