can someone explain what is the different between media and database?
or what media do / database do?

also what is the different between sql 2005/2008 etc..

and last question , what smc do?

Media is clientsided. The media.pk2 is almost an 1:1 copy of the database.
for a smooth startup u can remember this: tablename = keyname in pk2
