Reason for the application:
Apparently, a huge section like Silkroad needs another moderators and there was no candidates since Callum was added, he along with Portal are really doing a great job but, because of their time zones and the section activity, sometimes there is a gap between the times the section is cleaned. I am usually online all the time and my activity matches most of the users there so, I think I could clean it up during the rush hours, hence, I decided to apply.
I had been at this place for too long already and I am really willing to help and support this section.
Experience with the subject:
Silkroad was one of the first games I have ever played. It has been ten years since I started playing it. I quit before one and a half year and currently investing my time learning and exploring the game files and database. I started developing one year ago and still going through it.
After this year, I can say that I have reached a good level that allows me to help other members here, actually this is what I am doing myself. Back then, I was seeking help and to be honest, some members here to whom I am still grateful helped me when I was starting, this is why I want to repeat the cycle and help the ones who are willing to learn.
I completely know that being a presenter of such a huge forum like elitepvpers is really hard and has very high standards but, after spending some years here watching users and moderators, I am sure I have earned a lot and gained some experience on how my behavior should be as a moderator.
Moderating experience:
I do not have any moderating experience except being a member in some private server projects in the past but, this cannot be compared to this forum. The amount of users is really different and also the needs of the position do not compare to this one but, I am sure I can handle it.
Are you mentally prepared for this position?
Yes, I can guarantee that I am prepared to it. I have been guardian the section for some time already and I learnt when to avoid some situations and not to be involved in a lot of unneeded discussions and how to hold back when the situation turns really bad.
We see all kind of questions at Silkroad sections, it is normal to see something really stupid so this is also not a big deal, I can with no doubt handle all of them.
Languages spoken:
I am Egyptian so, my native language is Arabic. I also speak fluent English. Studied French for some years at school as well.

Eine so riesige Sektion wie Silkroad braucht weitere Moderatoren und es gab keine anderen Kandidaten, seitdem Callum geaddet wurde. Er macht mit Portal einen wirklich guten Job, allerdings gibt es wegen den Zeitzonen und der Aktivität in der Sektion oft einen zeitlichen Abstand, bis die Sektion aufgeräumt wird. Ich bin so gut wie immer online und zu den gleichen Zeiten wie die User in der Sektion unterwegs, weshalb ich während den Stoßzeiten aufräumen kann. Deshalb habe ich mich entschieden, mich zu bewerben. Ich bin dort schon sehr lange unterwegs und wirklich bereit, in der Sektion zu helfen und zu unterstützen.
Erfahrungen mit der Thematik:
Silkroad war eines meiner ersten Spiele. Es sind zehn Jahre vergangen, seitdem ich angefangen habe es zu spielen. Vor eineinhalb Jahren habe ich damit aufgehört, um mehr Zeit ins Lernen zu investieren und die Gamefiles und Datenbanken zu erkunden. Vor einem Jahr habe ich mit der Entwicklung angefangen und beschäftige mich bis heute damit.
Nach diesem Jahr kann ich sagen, dass ich mich auf einem Level befinde, um auch anderen Mitgliedern zu helfen. Früher habe ich oft selbst nach Hilfe gesucht und bin den Personen, die mich unterstützt haben, immer noch sehr dankbar. Ich möchte diesen Kreislauf wiederholen und denjenigen helfen, die bereit sind zu lernen.
Ich bin mir bewusst, dass es als Repräsentant eines so großen Forums nicht ganz leicht ist und einiges von mir erwartet wird, aber nachdem ich User und Moderatoren hier einige Jahre beobachten konnte, bin ich mir sicher, dass ich mittlerweile weiß, wie man sich als Moderator verhalten sollte.
Moderator-Erfahrungen:
Bis auf ein paar P-Server Projekte in der Vergangenheit, die allerdings nicht mit diesem Forum verglichen werden können, habe ich keine Erfahrung als Moderator. Die Anzahl der User ist sehr unterschiedlich und birgt andere Anforderungen. Trotzdem bin ich mir sicher, dass ich damit klarkomme.
Bist du psychisch geeignet für die Tätigkeit?
Ja, ich kann versichern, dass ich darauf vorbereitet bin. Ich hüte diese Sektion schon eine Zeit lang und habe gelernt, wie ich mich in kritischen Sektionen verhalten und dass ich mich nicht in unnötige Diskussionen einmischen sollte.
Es gibt eine Menge unterschiedlicher Fragen in der Silkroad-Sektion und es ist Alltag, ab und zu etwas sehr Dummes zu lesen, aber damit komme ich ohne Probleme klar.
Sprachkenntnisse:
Ich komme aus Ägypten, also ist meine Muttersprache Arabisch. Außerdem spreche ich flüssig Englisch. In der Schule hatte ich zudem ein paar Jahre Französisch.
PS: Ich spreche kein Deutsch.
