combining servers

I heard from some people that sk1 and sk2 will combined together and both go to GE1.
I am not certain about this information, its not from a admin or co-operator of darkorbit.

Can someone tell me more about it? Or is it just bullshit?

I would be really confused, as bigpoint always told that will never happen..

And even if they combine the servers, its not the solution we are looking for.. Lets continue to think that way, what is going to happen: if they combine ge1 to ge7, there will be all ultra fe from every server(and the few noobs who are still playing will quit within minutes), fighting for several months until everyone is going to discontinue playing. New players wont even start, as there are only ufe players fighting on the new combined server.

In my honest opinion, what darkorbit really needs, are more noobs, old fes and semi fe player. Even if you ufes help these just mentioned players, they are more likely to continue playing if they are not killed every 2 seconds.

We should help our noobs, and even as enemies, we should stop shooting them down 4 times in a row.

But I heard only sk2 and sk1 players will move to ge1 :)

Thanks for your contribution, and it is true most sk2 and sk1 players already went to GE1.

Maybe they should merge all the servers in GE1 and "re-open" the old servers clean with no accounts on them.

For example: If you are UFE on GE2 you will get moved to GE1 and you won't have your account anymore on GE2. The server will just reset and all the accounts from it will go to GE1. That would be a nice thing for BP to do. That is also a solution for the players that want new servers in order not to get hunted always by UFEs.

If that is gooing to happen there will be only fights you know right?
On GE1 then no one will ever try to do a NPC they will always get killed by others top players.
Anyway it's a good idea I think.

There isn't any easy solution for this. If you will combine servers, people will be angry, just imagine ranking points..

If you wont combine servers, there will be less and less ppl and no new players

Maybe you can give some biiiig benefits to new players, but what? You gotta say that it is almost impossible to be fast UFE without paying, and u gotta say it's almost impossible to be noob and play. You will be dead XX times per day. - well, but I dont think the solution is benefits for new players.

There is other possibility - do something for ppl who wanna start with this game, maybe u can make new server, but YOU CANT, cuz when u do this, a lot of ppl will stop playin on their current servers and will play on new server, in few months, it will be the same as before, but population of older servers will be smaller - wrong idea again.

I am kinda dissapointed of this situation, but THERE IS NO SOLUTION anyway. :(

The only problem of combining servers is that people will get mad. The people that spent €100-200 each mhh, they spend it for that servers not for GE1. And when people will move to GE1 , the generals from GE2-7 have to fight for there rank. I think bigpoint will get problems with that.

To combine sk1 & sk2 is maybe a good idea, but then to move them to GE1, is a bad decision (in my opinion) .. Why? -> Aiden's reply!
