The only real problem you'll face is changing packet structures. For instance, there's no longer any "fully complete" 1.0 servers running, so to make a 1.0 server now is much more difficult as you have "known packets" to use, but there are still many other unknown packets that were never discovered or documented at the time, and the only way to re-obtain these structures would be to reverse engineer them.

And this makes me wonder about TQ's 1.0 server. Will they use the latest server source, and just remove the new features and add the old skin, or will they go with the old packet structure and all that.

Thank you all :)

Although TQ is retarded, they're also lazy. Therefore my assessment because I can think:
* Same skin (I already have confirmation from a staff member that they're using 2.0 client)
* No new client (therefore same packet structures, I highly doubt they'll add obsolete structures back with new ids)

well they are dumb, that just takes away the feeling that its 1.0

yes, and as i've heard, they are also adding additional stuff (that they think is good) from 2.0. (for ex. ninjas). what don't they understand? everyone wants the original 1.0. Not just a modified version of 2.0 to resemble 1.0 but the "real" 1.0. Packet structures and all. Would be nice also, so we could (as Infamous said) document many packet-types, and gain knowledge from that.
