[HELP] Windows 8.1 Server?

Is making a Shaiya Private Server possible on windows 8.1? Iv tried with ep. 4.5 files and stuff, but every time the setup .bat file says failed and nothing happens.

Please, I still really wanna make a server but nothing works.

Have you downloaded SQL 2012 and SQL management studio for your version of windows? 32 or 64 bit?

General way to install your pserver.

Turn off your UAC user account control, and reboot.

Get the omegafiles. extract said files to C:\ShaiyaServer

Install a new instance of sql 2012 use default instance, and select mixed mode

Note at mixed mode you will need to enter a username and password that you can remember for later date.
Hit ok to the rest of the questions.

Once that is done go to your program list find Microsoft SQL 2012 then open configuration tools, then select sql server configuration manager and look at server services.

Make sure SQL server and SQL server browser are running

Go down to SQL Server Network Config > Protocols for MSSSQLSERVER and enable

shared memory
Named pipes
and Tcp/ip

right click on tcp/ip > properties. ip addesses where it says active and enabled set all them to yes and set all IPs to 127.0.0.1 and then hit ok

Back to sql server services then restart SQL server

once thats all done go to C:\ShaiyaServer\Server and click on the install server file
keep hitting any keys

user will be admin and pass admin123 by default for your game account

after that you need to

Go to C:\shaiyaserver\psm_client\Bin\config and open ps_ game and PS_gamewar and find whatismyip and change it to 127.0.0.1 on both files and save.

C:\shaiyaserver\psm_client and click on PSM agentinstall and install :P

C:\shaiyaserver\psm_server and do the same thing psm_ageninstall

and then open PSMserver manager and 2second tab find install all service

should go from red Xs to green pause II

i generally go down to gamewar and uninstall as it gives my windows 7 issues

note uninstall only the game war

tep 1.
Start PSMServer_Mgr

Step 2.
Control Service
> Start All Server Service
> Wait for all to be > (Running)

Step 3.
> Right Click Login01
> Command
> type "/vchkoff" (means "version check: off")
- "cmd version chk off ok" will appear if you did it correctly.
> Close the dialogue box

Step 4.
Right Click "Game" under GameGroups01
> Command
> type "/nprotectoff" (means "gameguard: off")
- "cmd NProtect off ok" will appear if you did it correctly.
> Close the dailogue box

You can close the program if you want, the services will still run in the background.


TO RESTART:

Control Service
> Shutdown All Server Service
> Wait for all to be II (Paused)
> Then start from Step 2 at the top.

Would be good to note you need a 4.5 client installed into a folder i like to call local server. you can get that from the dev index.

and change the name of the game.exe file to local.exe and you should be in business.


Ill rewrite this better tomorrow its 2 am. and i need sleep.

So, all of the game.exe are likes 980 MB... I mean.. Why so big? Do I really need one? Any other way to start it? AND it wont let me set the commands such as /nprotectoff or /vchkoff

Another thing IS that you might wanna change the Default password and change it to something more secure in the password encrypt which is in your psm_client folder That's How People get into other server's Databases and Give themselves Admin privilages And that would not be good

I only want the game for testing not for other people to play on.

It so easy to install a shaiya server, I think it the most easy private server to install XD, it same for XP 8 7 and other always the same configuration

Well, then my computer is messed up cause if tried tons of tutorials and non work.
