Client Melee Distance

Where in the client can you edit the distance of a melee attack? It has to be client sided. I know you can edit the distance/range of a skill but where would melee be located?

Itemtype controls everything relating to how items are handled by the client

The same data should be accurately mirrored and implemented server side but yes. There's attack range, attack speed, damage, etc all stored in the itemtype.dat file.

Yeah, I've editted the range to 25(I think I editted the correct number) and it isn't working. I'm talking about straight up client sided. I'm just trying to figure out how Dragon Warriors are meleeing from anywhere without moving. This is the only thing I could think of but you said it would have to be mirrored server side so that idea is shot down. I'm lost.

New clients may handle it differently but in any version I've seen one handers have a range of 1 where 2h weps have a range of 2.

You could very easily edit the itemtype to have range of 2 in weapons to allow you to stand between two TG stakes and use rage.

My assumption is the client wont allow attacks from higher range while using melee weapons but I could be incorrect on that.

If your character walks towards the target before swinging then it's a client issue. If it stands still and swings then it's a server side check blocking it.

I stand back about 10-15 spaces and it walks towards a target. I may just give up on this issue ha thanks for the help though
