ApexConquer - Low/Medium rate 5017 Server!

It's time! Apex Conquer is finally here and ready for players to get a fresh start.


This is a custom 5017 based server with tons of content for every style of player. There's old school PVP, questing and leveling galore as well as constant updates both for content and bug fixes.

Come give us a shot and we're sure you'll find that we're a step above the rest :pimp:


FEATURES

-Patch 5017-
Only original classes (trojan, warrior, archer and taoist)
No battle power
No Fan/Tower/Horses
PVE: Dis city, Blue Mouse, Monster Exterminator and More!
PVP: Hit based FB tournaments hourly, Guild War and More!

-LIMITED CPS-

You cannot use CPs to socket gear, buy + equipment or anything else. It's used for customizing your character and for things like exp balls/heaven blessing.

DBs trade for less CP then they cost from mall. This encourages people to use gold when possible and allows us to maintain higher DB droprates then other servers might.

I've taken over the server so I wanted to make a few things clear as my name is being associated with it more and more.

#1: I did not intend to run this server. I was letting Apex run the server using my source and my server until I was able to finish my 5212 server.

#2: There was some disagreement on how to advertise the server. Basically I don't want my name associated with dragging other servers through the mud or worse, spamming my server in world chat.

#3: I AM taking over direct control with this server and will be introducing a set of server admins to help with day to day moderation and player requests.




We've launched the first update to make this server less like CCO but I can definitely see the complaint people had that the sources are similar. That's true but the purpose of this server is to introduce some non classic content (such as second rebirth, new weapon skills, etc) as well as custom balance changes to create a more satisfying game experience.

Those changes will be taking place over the coming weeks and I hope to see some people taking part in deciding the future of this server.


TL: DR - I'm running Apex Conquer and it will continue to evolve as a classic-ish standalone project. It will not be going away and it will NOT be dragged through the mud as I know there were some complaints over the management advertising it in unsavory ways.

Server's scoring already... The community is already increasing.. It's surely worth playing ;)

This server definitely worth playing. Why? Classic rates(yes rates that will make you earn your stuff, not just go on scatter once and max yourself). PVP?(hourly pvp events, can be based on ur skills and ITS HOURLY how great is that). Admins?(good programmer, fix bugs easily). Donation?(Not even close to how other server manages their donations.. this server manages donations with VIP aura, teleportation, remote bank, pack items, clear trash items, and other VIP options for only 10 USD). How much other servers ask for just a simple VIP option..

If your really looking for a classic environment and fun gameplay this is the server for you. Easy setup, install and run. Doesn't hurt to try, but it'll hurt once you join this after the server has rank up the top, because then you will miss out a lot of opportunities.

Seen an advertisement for this on Facebook lol. First private server I have ever seen using facebook advertisements :o.

Trying out a few advertising methods now that I've taken it over. I know a few other servers who use facebook ads though.

March 2nd Patch

-Re-Enabled Winezone. You can find wine from RedDevil and DevilKings
-Fixed Lab4 and Winezone Spawns. No more 100+ mobs on screen
-Fixed issue with Gibbon drop rules. Now drops DB/Sunbox
-Added Last Man Standing Tournament. Runs every hour at XX:00 and is open to all classes/levels
-Added numerous bug fixes


Most of the changes are in the background and won't greatly effect gameplay but are a great start for behind the scenes changes. We're going to be continuing to unlock more content, events and changes throughout the week as well :D

March 3rd Patch
Bug fixes and content additions!


-Second Reborn Quest Enabled!
-Fixed issues with Remote Warehouse
-Fixed a possible exploit
-Tweaked DB upgrade rates
-Added additional server logging to identify issues


As promised we have enabled the second reborn quest now that we have sufficient logging in place and enough tests to ensure that no skills go vanishing on people.

This patch was launched a bit earlier than we would have liked due to some code we discovered could possibly be exploited. We've done a sweep to make sure nothing got corrupted on the server and have patched the issue. As always please keep your eye out for bugs or exploits and send them our way. We'll be more than happy to fix them and do our best to reward players who help improve the server.

March 4th Patch

-Improved ping for all players and solved lag spikes
-Added player health bars
-Added cooldown to potions
-Potions now show a healing effect when used
-Fixed issue with bluemouse quest
-Monster Kings now spawn and can drop rare items (drops subject to change)
-Updated client protection
-Fixed issue with dead players being able to loot items (oops!)

Having issues getting it to play. When opening client, it shuts down right away. Any suggestions?

Few suggestions.

#1: Run Conquer.exe as administrator (right click, run as admin)
#2: Make sure your anti virus hasn't deleted any files. Often old clients will be incorrectly flagged as a threat.
#3: Some machines will get a "this program has known compatibility issues". You just need to click "do not show this message again" and then click run anyways


Warning: Some machines will have laggy ingame FPS. The fix to this is to enable mouse pointer trails in windows.

We may add a auto trail enabled function to our loader but for now we're focusing first and foremost on server content.
