Lets make a challenge for you pserver makers

i wanna see a real pvp server one that will make the charts one that can survive longer then the rest

Max Lvl 130
Max Rb 1
No Commands
Plenty Of Tournys like Projectx
No Donations for tokens or credits only donations for other things but no donations to help your gears maybe donation for vip or tag in name or change name

but in this server have it where you start off with only super 2 soc gears super gems no + no bless maybe +hp

and have it where you have to win tokens or credits etc from this tournys to make you gears up to +9 and get your bless up to -7 not just -1 to -3 to -5 to -7 i mean -1 to -2 to -3 etc.

make it a real challenge pvp server not these other ones that were made that were so simple just +9 to +12 make it a super challenge of a pvp server and make it true classic server not 5065 or 5095 5165

ik plenty of you are going to probably give me some bad comments for this post cause lots are stuck on these new style co servers that honestly are boring

and ik their is lots of classic servers out now more then their was a year ago but lets get a true pvp classic challenge server going ill donate to keep it up if we can get players to play it and try to make it the best server of all time

some of you might say why dont you do it your self because i cant code just like allot of people but o well give me some credit for trying to get some one to make the most interesting server ever made come to life please some one give it a shot and message me if you can or will work on a server close to what im talking about

maybe a level base to maybe start as level 100 and have to work to 130 gaining a level from each win or something like that and then have to use tokens or credits or what ever to level your gears as you go then when rb start at 100 and have to do the leveling and level your gears from 100 to 130 again.

just a idea could change it or not use it but trying to add more of a challenge to this server then just the gears. or maybe the gears will be enough of a challenge

You just killed the server.


No private server has or ever will exist where donations do not 'do' something. You can make things as fair as you want but at the end of the day if you're not earning money from the server you're not going to put the effort into keeping it up to date and it will get shut down (sooner or later regardless of actual costs of the server)


PVP servers cannot exist because there's never a good enough reason for people to actually play them for more than a few hours

Donation free servers cannot exist because you cannot dedicate enough time on a weekly/monthly basis to produce new content, test bugs, interact with players, etcetc without an ongoing source of income from the server

Well... XioOnline has been running for 11 months now, we just started going public this month. We spent 11 months without donations. We kept developing, adding stuff, fixing bugs for a year without a cent of money.

Yes, we've had and still have the same VPS that we had when we started developing it. The server was always online for internal testing.

Yes, you can donate for stuff but if you don't its fine as well. We're not after your money, as opposed to your server, where you can get a huge amount of CPS for a single dollar.

CoPS had donations that give you a visual effects only , yes they shutdown
but it was not because of the donation.

whenever i'm done teaching myself i will create a server without donations simply because i'm quite richy and i don't need donations to keep the server alive

Let's see you keeping it online without your free VPS you get thanks to your sponsorship. I doubt you would of paid $40 (took an average VPS costing) a month/440 dollar 11 months out of your own pocket.

Lmao, That was rather funny. The VPS that's hosting and has been hosting XioOnline for the past year is my own and its also the same one used to host Eternal back in the day, Not to mention that we've been paying for it since the beginning. Has nothing to do with yuki at all.

I've only had donations in COPS v6 (and you would only get @scroll commands, @repairall, ability to convert DBs to CPs by right-clicking, ability to pack meteors by right-clicking and auto-reload of arrows). Basically nothing, and I wasn't receiving much donation.

I closed my servers, but not due to the lack of money. But, if I had to open a server today, it would have to be profitable for me.

Few things.

I'm referring to ongoing interest in development. It's great that you guys have put so much love and effort into conquer. Over the long haul though, it's pretty much impossible for anyone to remain dedicated to a server that creates nothing but headaches and time sinks. You have a team working on that server and so when one person burns out or loses interest, someone else can take over. That's awesome and all but is also the reason why so many servers tend to either die, change hands or be sold. The main developer loses interest, time or profitability and it moves on to someone else. If it's a cohesive group then it's a relatively smooth transition and if not... well you see rapid switches to how the game works and the player base loses interest.

You're bringing up CCO. I have literally zero say over how that server is run nor to get a single cent from donations. I do freelance programming for them on an as needed basis. I make no secret of the fact that I think conquer is a stupid game and I have no real interest in playing it. That being said there are plenty of people out there who need some help managing or coding for their servers and I'm more than happy to refresh some of my rusted out programming skills and pay some bills in the process.

As a side note I'd point out that those CP rewards you bring up actually don't 'do' anything. There's no + stones in the mall, no gems in the mall, no way to socket gears for CPs... Literally all you can do with CP is buy from other players or buy mets/dbs/exp pots/expballs/garments from mall.

When I made that comment I'm referring to LONG TERM likelyhood of a dedicated PVP only server. The number of people legitimately willing to play a pvp server is well... abysmally low. Tons of people say they want one but it's been proven time and time again that they simply don't hold players attention and are notoriously hard to monetize.

Sorry to derail - this isn't about me and it's just my opinion. I feel PVP servers don't work and no donation servers are a waste of developers times but you're obviously welcome to your own opinion and I don't want to turn this into a battle of opinions. We all have our own :)

your server is twice as expensive for cps, which only disadvantages non bulkers. You also sell + stones and tough drills in your shopping mall. They don't. cps are not very valuable on CCO. your server is a bulkers paradise.
