Help with Dekaon Universal client......

I looked and there's no loginlist.csv, channellist.csv or ai.csv.

Where do I configure the client with my server's IP to connect to it? If it's embedded in the .exe then it's pretty useless to download that client.

Is there another client I can use for this server?

just copy these files from another client then edit them, or you can just copy the share folder from the server files that janiver released on mega.co. its possible because those files are embeded into the exe. So you might have to replace the dekaron.exe with another that doesnt look for these files in the exe itself.

Thanks kasuma but I tried that already. It seems the csv files are embedded in the client. So, I guess I need to find another working A9 client.

you have to take the whole share folder from the server side and replace the share folder in the Universal client, the server side share folder doesnt have hardly any problems with it.

ok cool let me know, universal client is a good start for your first server setup. Mine first server that me john, han, josh, and me worked with was actually dekaron ultra, then moved to a water down nemisis client with mods. Back then only thing we cared about was the players not the money. I still only want to do this for the enjoyment of seing players in game.

Moving the server files worked thanks! I just want to play the game too! I'm tired of the other servers BS, corrupt GM's and hackers.

Greatly appreciated if you can help with this...

I can connect locally but when someone tries to connect outside they can't. I have no firewall running. The server is in a VM for now. Ports 7880 - 50005 are pointed to my server's ip.

Locally I can login and create a char but when I try to go in game it tells me cannot connect. I'm using my server's ip on all the server config files, should I use 127.0.0.1 on all but login server?

Thanks!

ok in order for people to connect from outside, you need to foward the ports on your router. [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
you also need the public ip you can google whatsmyip.org and it will tell you which u put that ip on client side. you want to make sure all server side stuff is 127.0.0.1. but on client is xxx.xxx.xxx what ever your public ip is. You might need to set a static ip on your router so when your power on your router disconnects it doesnt assign a new private ip address which if that happens you would have to foward the ports 50005 and 7880 again which can be a pain if you have alot of problems with your internet.

here this will also help you edit the client it is a comprised tutorials from different websites and different posts i found in evp. I swear if someone says i dont read the forums again i should stab ya lol.

Thank you for the tutorial. Very helpful for editing the client!

As for ports, they are forwarded correctly. The server has a static IP. The client is set to my public ip. I have a static public ip as I do web hosting and have a server farm. I'll keep messing around with the router config. Everything you mentioned I already am doing. I think the issue is I had my server noth on the dmz and port forwarding.
