Problems Regarding Log In

Hey guys,

im just enquiring if there is any step by step instructions on how to fix an issue im having when trying to log into my server...

i not long ago encountered server files and db of a crazy tao server and have almost completed it but when i try and log in it crashes on me? i may have a feeling that it could be the test account not working and i havent yet tried to create another account and log in..

but if the issue continues to persist how exactly do i fix this problem?

Trying reinstall mysql , my mysql was preventing me to log in on my admin account once.
Uninstall the mysql service threw the batch file in your mysql\bin folder or unstall via mysql application
Delete my.ini in C:\windows
stop the service in task manager
Run the sql Admistration and log in,let it install service via the application,

Try it, if not check your config files and check if any errors in the CQUser

Nah unfortunately it still closes on us im not 100% what the issue would be hey! :/

basic debugging step by step:

1 check your connection from the client to the server: is it the right ip its trying to connect to? if not go to 3 if so go to 2
2 check your connections on the server from the client.. can you see your ip attempting to connect? if so go to 4 if not go to 5
3 repair your client configuration
4 check your server configurations: is all the ip info/names/passwords correct
5 check your servers router or firewall
7 if all else fails get someone else to look at it

for mysql issues its almost always repair your database or fix permissions


edit: after all this i looked back and read youre trying to connect a crazy tao server if i remember correctly the character creation doesnt work right
(chances are you have a gender issue ... try giving your user a gender)


note: most "crazy tao" server files are eo server files with ct stuff in them youre gonna get all kinda errors that way that you normally wouldnt with a eo server
