Suggestion

In order to keep the idiotic hackers at bay another measure that could be taken is this.

Make a clear tutorial on how to find offsets of existing hacks, then sticky it, and don't allow to post new offsets....


I know that some people do no even know on how to update the offsets, but in the sticky EVERY single step should be there (with pics if possible)...

This is what i think about this

Do you think this would work?

For the moment i just want to hear if you think this is a good idea (i care less for guys with less than 50 posts saying that current model should be kept)

Doesnt exactly take a genius to figure it out from the existing tuts already,people are just lazy so im loving this idea(50 posts or not ;)) :).

i said i dont care about the people, with 50 or less posts, that say they do not agree, since its clear why..

the ones that agree, obviously can do stuff by themselves, with little help, wich is what i am promoting

well my opinion is divided

1. i wouldnt like it all to be stickied beacuse then any new guy that comes along will become a hacker like we dont already have too many of those

2. then again, it would keep the ppl from opening unecessary threads begging for stuff that is already released

so its a 50:50 for me

i don't like it XD, cause people can start profiting off of 2moons/dek hacks even more then and this doesn't stop other sites from posting offsets so it might take away some of the traffic from epvp (well the 2moons/dek section). also people who rely on others to update/so leechers they aren't necessarily all idiot hackers (ingame), and some people who do workout and make all their own hacks could be idiot hackers (ingame). what will probably happen aswell is more spam posts, so people asking for latest offsets.

Agreed. But here's the catch. Leave a step out. If people can't figure out how to do something, why the hell should we tell them how?

Its like SkillHacks, it only takes one idiot to give it away. When I give hacks to my friends, I tell them "If you can update the offsets, you're worthy to have skillhacks". I've had so many IDIOTS from epvpers pming me, and asking me for hacks, hell its amusing to see people do it.

I'm in agreement with Omega on this one. Though, some should be stickied.

Vac, no aggro, zoom, gm teleport.

Things that shouldn't be
Speed/Invis
GM-Detect
Skills (Already banned)
Argate Hacks (If there is one)

Etc. If people are too stupid to figure out speed, they don't deserve it. Plus, it'd make them get caught and banned faster. Its a win-win situation :P

Don't we already have tutorials that show us how to find offsets? The one leva posted shows clearly how to find them. It is stressful seeing people asking for new offsets when they are already there or when there is a tutorial they can watch to show them. I like your idea but which hacks are going to be in the sticky post?

hence the sticky, would help, and then delete any thread regarding new offsets, etc

as for people taking advantage, you can't do anything against that....if people wanna pay for others work, regardless that the seller is using 99% of some one elses work, it seems it can't be avoided, might increase if this get implemented, but it would stop 10 years old getting hands on hacks and the go pk in front of parca....

while i do agree to some extent, i dont think that if someone cant figure out a step, it shouldnt disqualify them from being able to use the hack. some people just arent gifted in certain areas. if everything in life was based on someone having to figure it out in order to use it....well, it wouldnt be pretty. people have accountants for a reason. they have mechanics for a reason. they have tech support for a reason. we go to school for a reason. now im not saying we should spoonfeed everything, but at the same time you need to keep the general community (i guess that is the right word) in mind. not everyone is a hacker, or has the ability to understand everything that goes on.

Im a newb to this, but i had the smarts to search for a tutorial, and within 5 mins i knew how to update offsets using both array of bytes or Assembly code. And if the people are not smart enough to figure something that simple out, they should just play legit. It doesnt need to be a sticky topic, if they to lazy to find the tutorial themselves then their to lazy to find the offsets.

Dracos stickied post tells you exactly how to update offsets. I used it yesterday to update my hacks after the patch.
