Well if a not so known/trusted member wants to buy always insist on the other member paying first, and if he pays with e check or some simular way, the payemnt will be pending and will clear in 2-5 days, untill the money is in your payapl DO NOT GIVE OUT THE ACC INFO, beacuse the bank account might aswell be emty, and your payment will be declined and he will walk out with your char. try to insist on instant payments, that is in you paypal the moment the guy presses send.

if possible try to find a middle man for theese trades, a middle man checks the acc and e mail if it comes with it then if it is all good, the buyer pays and middle man gives him the acc.

so he can pay then get his money back? but for how long?

i can give the guy i want the account, but not the email, and then retrieve my password, if they scam me no?

in any case, how long does the refund from paypal lasts, i mean he pays, then how much time does he get for his money back?

in this case, say its 48H, i would give account details only after 48h... i think that i have some minor rep here to be trusted for this....

he cannot refund his money once it is clreaed, but he can open a dispute against you in case you scam him, then paypal will freeze your account untill you give them more details about yourself, like bank acc, CC info, adress confirmation, social security number etc...but he will also need to prove that he has been scamed...so if you dont scam him and he dosent scam you its all good

Also note that Paypal does not support non-tangible items. A buyer can simply file a dispute saying the seller never delivered the goods. You as a seller, have no way to provide any proof for delivery for a virtual item. There's a high chance he will successfully get a refund.

Either way, there's a huge risk for both the seller and the buyer. It's best to either use a different payment service or obtain a good dialog with the buyer/seller (personal phone call etc.)

In my experience a good 50% of offers are scams. I don't mess with paypal for high value virtual items these days.

hmm

can't I proove that I sold them trough an unedited screenshot, of msn, for example, where i clearly give him account details, then "force" him to say something like <its working, thx>

since i want to avoid as much as i can to give away bank acc info....

well...you could make 2 PP accs, once you recive the payment just forward the money to another paypal account so there will be nothing to refund
