After taking a month-long Silkroad break; I was wondering what's actually missing for an actual long term server. Meaning things that are there from the beginning that'd make the Silkroad joyable for over a year.

Remove all sort of SoX sets. Keep 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear equipment.
When an item is picked for the first time; Add random EXTRA blues/stats on it.
This means, get a value between a pre-set min & max value and add it as an extra.
Technical Example:
Char picks a 10D shield .
Get random blue or stat category (BR, Phys Def, STR, INT, Attk Ratio..)
Get random value to add for pre-selected blue/stat category (above). Values have a min and max range of course.
Add that stat onto the item. (UPDATE _Items ...)
Intercept Server -> Client pick item packet.
Save packet.
Modify packet with the pre-calculated extra parameter (blue & stat)
Send packet to client.
Non-technical Example:
Char picks shield.
Char received shield with 50 HP increase.
Result:
Player receives an item that is randomly generated and has better default stats/blues.
Usually, you can have 7 STR on an item. This way you can grant them 10 STR etc.
Problems:
In order to actually take effect, the player needs to teleport once, however, that shouldn't be a big deal since the blues & stats will be viewable client sidedly due to packet interception.
Now.. What kinda ideas do you guys have? Almost anything is possible, just say any kind of idea. Doesn't matter if its from a different game or anything. However, don't say something that completely changes the game. It should change the gameplay STYLE not the entire game itself.
Additionally, do NOT criticize other ideas, everything is welcome here. It should be a public collection of ideas from players that have tried out a variety of different games. The aim is to bring the best ideas together.
What I would really like to hear are ideas about quests. Again, it doesn't matter if you think its possible or not, just let your creativity roam freely.
