[Learning Redux] Video Guides To Using Redux

So I know jumping into a new source can be scary and it's not something everyone wants to do, especially if they have a lot of content running already under something else (looking at you NCOS based servers!). These videos are designed to help people get their feet wet with Redux by providing accurate and easy to follow information on how to accomplish common tasks.

Setting up Redux

Tada! An updated setup guide that reflects the new configuration creator as well as the issues people are having with executing my database backups from newer versions of the source.


Adding NPCs/Item Usages

The only thing different in the video and public versions of redux is the command I was using to locate un-scripted NPCs. The rest of it will work on any public version of redux you care to use.


Adding PVP Events/Tournaments

This one only applies to private versions of Redux but gives you an idea of how quickly and easily you can code your own PVP events in Redux 3.1+!

Recommend. Even though its only a base, but it's better to add features to it, then using a source with full features(errors) to fix. Plus Pro4Never offers great fix and interaction if you want to add features. He has helped me with Nobility system based off kills in a new arena I added recently.

Just a reminder to those who haven't checked out redux since its earlier versions, there's a LOT more content in the 3.0 release as and even more in the private servers past that.

I have no reason to create a new source.

Redux can support any patch of conquer that ever has or will existed simply by changing packet structures/encryption/game logic.

That being said a LOT of game logic changes when you move that many patches so it'd be a lot of work to do but yah... I would just make sure the base was solid and then tailor it to work on the patch I was trying to emulate.
