Windows 8.1 - Windows Key to Desktop?

Hello guys,
I recently switched to Windows 8.1 and I've gotta admit that I'm severely frustrated by the new start menu.
I'm not on my phone, I don't need apps like weather, mail, contacts.

So I'd like to know if any of you know of a method to bind the Windows Key to displaying the Desktop rather than opening the start menu.

You can use Win+D to go to the Desktop.
