Yes, another thread like that XD.

First off, this is my first thread in this forum and I want to thank the community for all the usefull info about the game. I don't usually ask anything 'cuz many answers are already given here and there, I just put all of them together and made a working EP4.5 server on my own.
Thank you all.

Back to the topic.
I changed mob drops with ShStudio, planning a think like the following:
- Grade 1: items that every mob always drop with 50% rate (lapisia, rec runes etc...)
- Grade 1005, 1020, 1030, 1040, 1050, 1060: lv5, lv20, lv30, lv40, lv50 and lv60 gears.
- Grade 1105, 1120, 1130, 1140, 1150, 1160: lapis lv1-6

However, I got some problem:
- Grade 1: this works as expected
- Grade 1005 and 1020: work
- Grade 1030-...-1060: don't work. No mob with these grades drops lv30+ gears as they should, neither with a 100% rate.
- Lapis grades (1105-...-1160): don't work, neither in "normal" map, nor in dungeons.

I double-checked everything and spent a whole day in testing things, so my questions are:

1. Am I free to use any grade numbers, or there are some restriction? (Grade 1, 1005, 1020 was already "there" in the untouched DB, but I made 1030 etc... anew)

2. Should I indexing/initializing those grades somewhere else, or just changing them for each mob is enough?

3. How many grades can be associated to a single mob? I started with 5 different grades, but then I noticed that originally most of the mob just had 3 grades only, so I managed to reduce them to 3 (that is "stuff", "weap/armor" and "lapis" grades).

4. Am I missing something?

---
What I did so far:
1. Customized things to match what I want (stats, lvls, attack, etc...)
2. Put stuff, gears and lapis in easy-to-remember grades.
2. Opened my lv1 mobs with ShStudio and put grades 1, 1005, 1105 (in this case, 50% rate each).
3. Did it again for every other mob (with different rates).

Grade values have some restrictions when they are used in ItemCreate.ini file or when used by item with effect 42 (the surprise boxes that give a random item known by its grade).
Regarding mob drops this is no restrictions (meaning at least all values in range 1 up to 3700 should be valid).

Each monster defines 9 grade / rate pairs (not 3); the 5 first rates are percents - the value 12 means 12% of chance to get an item with the given grade; items 6 to 9 are in 10ppm (parts per million), so 1.000.000 means 10% and 10.000 means 0.1%.

When experiencing issues with drops, make sure that:
a) grades values are finely defined in mob "drop bags list"
b) some items actually exist with these grades (yes, they obviously exist, verify anyway)
c) update the PS_GameDefs.dbo.MobItems table with the script generated by shStudio and containing the newly defined grades
d) restart your server.

nothing more is required.

@Castor,
Thanks for that explanation, i would like to know if the Item 6 to 9 are stricly for Mobs / monsters Or it apply to item clic / item with Effect 42.
Because if i remind in one explanation of the process to make that kind of item we should follow order in ItemCreate.ini file
example

You see some 1000 etc i cross already more but in what its exprimed ? % or ppm or Other ?

Thank You for this point :) // and btw was long time that we dont cross you xD

Thank you castor.

I did a deeper research on this forum and found out that someone had some issue with 999+ grades and someone else suggested to use 800-900 range. So I did. (There are just few items there and cleaning-out doesn't require much time. However, the mount item 858 doesn't show the grade field once the window is opened with ShStudio, and thus I can't "move" it in another "bag". I don't know if it's a ShStudio bug or just intended like that. Just say..., it's not really important to me).

@Diavolino: are you italian? I deduced from your nickname Diavolino, if you need some help in italiano I could try. Your english is a bit... odd :P.

IT: sei italiano? L'ho dedotto dal tuo nickname, se ti serve aiuto in italiano posso provarci. Il tuo inglese è un po'... strano :P.

I don't know / understand what should be the "item 858" but indeed the mount editor doesn't include the grade field.
The "All items" list will let you know the grades currently used by your mounts (looking at items type 42), the Grades tree-list will then let you move these items to another grade group.

Ah ya, I said it wrong.
I meant, in the "all items" list the item 42 15 (Blue Dragon Summon Stone) shows the grade value 858 and, like you said, mount editor has no grade field.

Oh right! You released the version 7.5.3, that's why I wasn't able to see any "Grades tree-list" in the program (was using 7.5.2)

Thank you very much castor, for your answers and for your amazing app.
