Unique Badge

Hey,

•Rules

1. Pay for it for a certain of time. (E.g :- 200 E*gold = Unique badge for 1 Year)
2. You can't add any of the badges that are already in Epvp such as Moderator, Premium or such badges.
3. Those badges are just for fun with no use, not like premium, when you are premium you can access the premium area.

Those are some basic rules I've thought off, maybe you Admins/Mods would like to add other and/or remove some rules!



So how will you get these badges you might wonder!



•How

1. Photoshop or any other programs. (Own Design)
2. Elitepvpers may add some designs that you should choose from.

•Benefits for Elitepvpers and Members

1. Elitepvpers will gain money out of this.
2. Members which are skilled in GFX can sell badges.

Badges are just going to lose their worth and you'll get even more advertising and identity stealing going on. So I don't think that it's a good idea (But I'd really like to make some money by selling badges :P )

Badges are not meant to be funny, this will make elitepvpers look like a kindergarten. I don't like the whole idea, how is elitepvpers supposed to look if everyone runs around with 10 shitty (sorry, but there probably will be some cases) designed badges that do not relate to anything?

Badges in general would lose their worth. Why would you apply for the translator job if you could have your own custom badges? Just an example but it pretty much sums it up.

What about avatars, people can add stupid childish girly avatars, so it's like an extra avatar,

The Translator has a job to do, while regular badges doesn't.

I don't get that. You say that there may be people that abuse their avatar for childish stuff but at the same time you want to support it by adding the possibility to add childish badges? :bandit:

And that's the point. I know retired translators that did the job because of the badge they received as reward. Of course, the blue namecolor was added recently but didn't make a huge difference in my opinion.

Still, there are some cool avatars w/ the childish avatars, so avatars didn't make epvp kindergarten, even if there are much Childish avatars, besides this idea has benefits for elitepvpers and some members and will occur with more E gold trading and more E gold buying, not much but will also add a new cool option.

Selling moderator rights also has benefits for elitepvpers and some members but are we ever supporting that? No, we are (hopefully) not.

However, I explained why I don't like this idea and I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only one that is against something like that. We'll see how the community decides. How about adding a poll?

He doesn't mean the "worth" in money / EG but the psychological worth behind them. If you own a badge, this means that you are more than a normal user, you are contributing something to the forum like creating podcasts etc.

Having almost everybody own a badge, would lead to a point where the old ones are meaningless. Why should i do something to "earn" my badge if i can simply buy my own one ? Sure you won't have the "broadcast" badge but who cares if i create a "youtube swagger" badge ?

Beside that, new users won't be able to differentiate between the epvp ones and the user badges. That will lead to confusion and abuse. Sure we have a sticky with our badges but almost nobody will read it.

So i'm also against this idea.

We explicitly do not support custom badges. It's even a rule violation to edit your avatar in a way that suggests you got a badge that you actually don't have.
