Which version for S4 PServer ?

Hey !

I open this poll to know which version would you prefer for a private server.
I'm actually thinking to rework on a project as there is nothing interesting running.

[Patch 9]

• The emulator I worked on with Exetra is pretty good, mission system & a lot of features are done.. ish.
• However the P2P is catastrophic and there is a huge lack of content (modes, weapons ...).
• There is no running official server so it's hard to fix some specific problems.
• And there is too much TrashNet running servers ...

[Patch 10]

• Like Patch 9, the server needs some changes to support the huge changes of Patch 10.
• The main change is the relay server working under ProudNet but it's implementation is not really good.
• There is the new Chaser Mode, and a bit more customization is available.

Please note that it would run under Patch 10 BEFORE the graphic changes

[Season 8]

• Every new content is accessible, however the problem is on the server-side: there is A LOT to code !
• The previous emulator at Season 7 is not really complete, however it can run rooms correctly for the moment.
• The packet reversing is done at 100%, and since there is the official server available, it's easy to update :)

In any case, the emulator have to be recoded to have a new base.

If there is a lot to code for season 8 will there be more bugs? If it is season 8 that means it would be much longer implement huge features and new changes.

Not really. It's the same for all, the advantage with Season 8 is that the official server helps a lot with implementing.

I voted for Season 8. I hope, you'll update the P-Server every Season, so if S4 is dead, we can play it with friends or a nice commiunity together in the Future. (I'm hoping also that the Server+Client are avaible for download).
