About private servers

I see every week new fail server, why u all good programers dont get files and host one normal server better than shit like justac, like webzen was just without shrine. Is that so hard ?

And im sure u will have many ppls there, but this way all want to make own server but i dont see a reason for that.

Not much ppl have ep6 files... and those who have it probably paid to get them so i don't think they will share it for free.

not share, they need to make only 1 good team and make a deal about money and so no problems

You can see this 100 times, they won't listen.
They only think about money, money and money.
This way there will be never a good p-server.

everybody think about money because to handle server with 1000 people cost a lot of money.

1st. You need a realy strong GB connection to handle the server.
2nd. You need very good server with nice resources. ( around 300 to 500 euro for 500-1000 people )
3th. You need people who have skills in programing. (which cost lots of money)

Im talking about ppls here on forum, as i see many of them have some knowledge in programing.

And hosting a server isnt so expensive check the prices.

I will explain my experience back with archlord online.
I never spent more than 60 euro for more than 250 accounts at the same time whitout crash.

So with stable files i believe i can go near 3000 pple with simply 100 euro / month.

I agree.
1. we need someone with excellent programming knowledge and lots of AL expirience (someone who played CM, WZ and perhaps private servers)
2. someone who can share ep 5/6 client
3. then we need several investors who will be glad to pay for host and website
4. team of expirienced players who will work on server and website (active)

I think these are keys to successful server. Since the failure of most private servers, I think that should attract lots of people (well, i would play on it 24/7). Justac had almost all of this but AWFUL SUPPORT, and unexpirienced admin who obviously never played AL and made shitload of promises who he never fullfiled..
